My husband trusts me to make home repairs... such as drywall,flooring,plumbing...etc. mostly because *shocker* he doesnt know how to do them and refuses to learn. I draw the line at vehicles though. I can change oil, a tire, and know how to check the fluids (he wont/cant) but I can most definitely call a repair shop and get an appointment.

As for trusting a woman to repair my vehicle, if they know how, I'll let them. Men have fucked up my car, called me crazy when I point out issues repeatedly when gaskets and seals were broken and could only be found or seen after the car drives 60mph for 10-15 minutes. So what the hell, let a woman do it.

We trusted women in the dirty trades during the wars. If they want the dirty jobs they can have them in my opinion. Not for me though. I like my fingernails and soft hands.

Like a previous poster said, you cant fake your way through a trade job.
