In all honesty, any nation that can do that to another nation(America included) does stuff like that. |

Man is forever solving the most perplexing problems as he ventures ever further into the unknown. But where are the outer limits of his ingenuity? Will he ever encounter a problem, a Gordian Knot, which he cannot ultimately cut? --GLPPower-- |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 74628864 United States 01/14/2020 01:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So let me get this straight, at about the same time that they were changing whistleblower complaint forms to allow for Adam Schiff's "whistleblower," they were issuing FEC advisory opinions for a cyber-security company to get an exception for in-kind corporate contributions so that this company could go to work for the 2020 candidates (i.e. the DNC?), and this company just so happened to find a "Russian hacking attempt" at Burisma, the company tied to money scams run by prominent Democrats with U.S. Aid money in Ukraine. I wonder if their server will end up missing in Ukraine too. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 74628864 United States 01/14/2020 02:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If they are supposed to be helping candidates with their cyber-security for 2020, what are they doing supposedly engaging in cyber-security for Burisma? Burisma must be tied closely enough to whichever 2020 candidate(s) that they are helping that they have Burisma's full cooperation in getting inside the companies computers to track something that may have been deliberately placed their by somebody for them to find. Seems odd. Not really, when you hear Biden openly admitting to threatening and bribing the Ukraine government to back off of investigating the company. |

This looks connected to the "whistleblower" play to me. |

Claiming that something was routed through a server while going through a series of servers proves absolutely nothing about where it came from. In fact, any good hacker is going to route it through ever server except the one it came from. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 75449616 United States 01/14/2020 10:41 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This could be big news. Quoting: NDFarm [link to www.nytimes.com (secure)] Jan. 13, 2020 Updated 7:04 p.m. ET With President Trump facing an impeachment trial over his efforts to pressure Ukraine to investigate former Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. and his son Hunter Biden, Russian military hackers have been boring into the Ukrainian gas company at the center of the affair, according to security experts. The hacking attempts against Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company on whose board Hunter Biden served, began in early November, as talk of the Bidens, Ukraine and impeachment was dominating the news in the United States. It is not yet clear what the hackers found, or precisely what they were searching for. But the experts say the timing and scale of the attacks suggest that the Russians could be searching for potentially embarrassing material on the Bidens — the same kind of information that Mr. Trump wanted from Ukraine when he pressed for an investigation of the Bidens and Burisma, setting off a chain of events that led to his impeachment. The Russian tactics are strikingly similar to what American intelligence agencies say was Russia’s hacking of emails from Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman and the Democratic National Committee during the 2016 presidential campaign. In that case, once they had the emails, the Russians used trolls to spread and spin the material, and built an echo chamber to widen its effect. |
