A gun has about 8-12 parts, do you really need to be a "master" to assemble or find the broken part? About like claiming to be a "master" lawn mower engine repairman. chuckle

One of my Springer 1911's seems to be wearing on the top of the hammer.. I look at the slide bottom inside and seems like there's some rough dremeling or what you guys call it where they match the slide to frame with the serial number and I can only assume it's from that? Make sense? Should I just arizona stone that writing off?

I designed and created a 70 caliber revolver with 8 inch barrel called the Bosche Handcannon. Only 4 were ever made.

I always recommend a 38 caliber for women. Perfect balance of power and controllability for the fairer sex. There are several great options out there.

Can I swap out my AR 15 polymer hammer with a steel one without replacing all of the polymer trigger assembly group?

My lady has the colt detective special 3rd gen from the 70s.
38 Special revolver is the way to go for her.
Nice trigger too.

She can't rack the slide on a pistol anyway.

Well, you said to ask you. I'm not a gunsmith but I've worked on every firearm I've owned for over 30 years. Again, listen this time... It's a blued 3050cv steel hammer right, and it's wearing out on the notch where it rides the bottom of the slide. I'm not talking fucking headspacing here or legal liability what I'm asking you, but there is writing on the inside nick notch of a 1911, if you ever heard of them, that has the serial from the factory because it's a custom shop matched forged frame and slide. I can only assume this wear is from that dremeling or drilling they did to put that serial there.... Less than 500 rounds through this one

I have a New Army 1858 with a conversion cylinder. I'd like to put bigger grips on it, like a full size 357. Anything I can get off the shelf? Know anybody who does this?

Also, how hard would it be to cut the dovetail for a front sight? Like a tritium kind of thing.
