No offense OP but it is New York - and most truly have given up on that state as it is a gold-standard for over-the-top-libturd decisions.

My own personal theory has been that any area of life/society that has even a whiff of stability-inducing qualities is singled out and targeted by Democrat skidmarks like AOC and Schumer/nObama to create more chaos and society destroying 'laws'.

This situation you are experiencing shows why the 2nd ammendment will never be removed, and about this time you may want to defend yourself too since New York has neutered the police effectiveness.
