A new coast-to-coast storm could bring more snow to lower elevations of the Pacific Northwest before spreading snow, ice and rain through the central and eastern United States later this week. On Wednesday, the jet stream energy for this next storm will enter the Pacific Northwest, where it could bring more snow to Seattle and Portland, Oregon. From there, the system will move through the Plains, Midwest and East later Thursday through Saturday. Since this storm is still several days away, it's uncertain exactly what impacts it will bring to the Midwest and East. But there will be enough cold air in place to the north and east of its track for some locations to potentially pick up significant snow and/or ice. Global Forecast System (GFS) data shows Old Man Winter will return to the Northeast on Friday with average temperatures from Washington, D.C., to Boston around 25 to 34 degrees. The cold will persist through the end of the month. [ link to weather.com (secure)] [ link to www.zerohedge.com (secure)] So if you live in the US, brace yourself... Pro Brexit, Pro Nexit, Anti-EU |

Snow would be better than ice, even snow over ice would better than just ice. This lists us in the ice/snow area.
