I voted for Trump...... then spent some time in Canada....
I know this will make the Maga people lose it, but here's the truth.....

Canada's a better country than the USA.

It's sort of apples and oranges due to the population difference, but you can still make comparisons:

1) More freedom because there's less police state, less aggression in controlling your life like in the USA.

2) Canada's version of the "Feds" are less aggressive, insane and corrupt than the USA's.

3) Far, far healthier ingredients in the food, almost universally among all products sold there.

4) It's cleaner, less litter.

5) the CBC news isn't insane and partisan

6) The minority populations are better-adapted to living in a White culture, better educated, too.

7) Canada's immigration policies are more strict than the USA's.

8) Taxes are higher but wages are also higher.

9) Everything is more expensive but not too bad. There are still deals. For an American, with the strong Dollar, everything's 30% cheaper.

10) Canadians are generally more polite, less aggressive or suspicious than Americans (this might not apply in the Midwest or parts of the South of the USA, which are known to be friendly).

11) The national healthcare is good. There are long waits and other bad things, but that's the price of "free" -- and it's simply better than the USA. The social safety net is better.

So that's my assessment. It sure isn't perfect but overall it's lovely country.

It's just less of the frenzied partisanship you see on Fox News and MSNBC. It's more measured, calmer, frankly less stressful to watch. Whether the reportage is accurate or not, I can't say without more research.

Not surprised given how the Democrats were in control for 16 years and let the country go to trash.

Some of what you list makes the issue of apples and oranges a case of, "and other than THAT, Mrs Lincoln, how was the play?"

You filter a lot of your take through a liberal prism. Which is fine and all, but you just need to be honest about makes you tick.

Higher taxes?

"Oh, that's okay. I just have to be greedier when it comes to my monthly paycheck in order to pay for those taxes."

Here's the deal on the OP.
He goes to Canada. Gets him a legal prositute, some blow and some green. Lives in a small town where everyone knows each other. They show him where the commune eats, plays music and talk. The weather is nice so walks in the parks are awesome. Falls in love with his legalized hooker, she begs him to stay. All his new friends want him to stay. But they all fear of him going back to the "Orange Man Bad" environment. And he leaves behind the memory of the great thing of Greta!

So he comes back to America. The land of freedom and prosperity. Back to the old grind of basement dwelling, internet posting, key board fighting with the Right. And then to top it off... Dads home! Now he has to clean his room, help around the house, baby set his little brother while mom and dad go bowling. Back to oppression. Back to slavery. Back to being the slave of the almighty dollar. F- off you intolerant leftist drain on you're partners.
