Re: I voted for Trump...... then spent some time in Canada....
I know this will make the Maga people lose it, but here's the truth.....

Canada's a better country than the USA.

It's sort of apples and oranges due to the population difference, but you can still make comparisons:

1) More freedom because there's less police state, less aggression in controlling your life like in the USA. lies, i own a business and there is more red tape than the US

2) Canada's version of the "Feds" are less aggressive, insane and corrupt than the USA's.more bs.. try writing or saying anything anti " insert your fav nationality here" and see what they do to you

3) Far, far healthier ingredients in the food, almost universally among all products sold there.partially correct

4) It's cleaner, less litter.

5) the CBC news isn't insane and partisanfunniest one yet .. CBC makes CNN look like Fox news

6) The minority populations are better-adapted to living in a White culture, better educated, too.explain this one

7) Canada's immigration policies are more strict than the USA's. Only strict if your from a white European country .. if your brown they get you in fast

8) Taxes are higher but wages are also higher.taxes WAY higher " wages higher is BS too

9) Everything is more expensive but not too bad. There are still deals. For an American, with the strong Dollar, everything's 30% cheaper.gas is nearly $5-$6 gallon.. Milk is $5 quart.. vegetables are $4 lb avg.. after you get raped 50% off your check , you get the privileged of getting raped another 13% off most things you buy..No write off like the US either .. deducting your mortgage at taxtime does not exist

10) Canadians are generally more polite, less aggressive or suspicious than Americans (this might not apply in the Midwest or parts of the South of the USA, which are known to be friendly).depends where you go .. when I go down south your population politeness and courtesy makes ours laughable .. not even close ( sounthern states > canuckistan )

11) The national healthcare is good. There are long waits and other bad things, but that's the price of "free" -- and it's simply better than the USA. The social safety net is better. friend of mine had his dad diagnosed with cancer .. doctors here told them " if you want him to live go to the states ,, he would have died here waiting for a specialist . So he went .. cured the cancer .. 2 years later had minor surgery here .. botched it up .. got septic shock .. dead "

So that's my assessment. It sure isn't perfect but overall it's lovely country.

Canada was recently ranked the second most beautiful country in the world, and now it is being hailed for its quality of life.

In fact, Canada took the top spot for the category in the latest 2019 Best Countries Rankings by U.S. News and World Report. What’s more, this is the country’s fourth year in a row in the ranking’s top spot.

Last night, I was looking up information on longterm care homes for my dad, and I discovered that those are subsidized by the government. I had no idea. I thought they were just like retirement homes where the fee is based on your financial situation. It was actually a big relief.

Is that the same in the US?

You can deliver a baby at a hospital for just $500 cash with no insurance. I know from personal experience. You have to shop a around.

You can get a colonoscopy with no insurance for around $600.

GI specialist no insurance $50 per visit.

I know all this from recent personal experience.

Most of the problems on your list come from democrats. Democrats love big government and control of your life, open borders. The health care is not good because many come to the USA to pay for care. Canada has very low gdp and does not produce much of anything to sustain the world or even their own people so it is naturally a cleaner environment. It’s nice when you don’t have to produce anything and just buy it.

The list of what Canada can’t do is quite long actually, can’t build a car, can’t build a phone, tv, computers, airplanes, go into space, pharmaceuticals, military, farm, good beer, movies, credible universities... it doesn’t stop actually. Everything comes from somewhere else.

If you go to a hospital where the doctors drive Porche Carreras, you will pay through your nose. There are non-profit Christian hospitals where doctors bike to work or drive used geo metros.

In places like Canada where people tend to worship govt instead of God and pay high taxes, Christan charities are much less prevalent due to lack of interest, lack of donations, or outright ban. For example, many places ban Christian medical providers for refusing to murder babies or
do trany mutilation/poisoning, or promote homosexuality.

If I was poor, I'd rather go to a Christian non-profit hospital in a country/state where such hospitals are actually allowed, than a govt hospital where they'll do trany experiments on me or live organ harvest me so some powerful politician can live forever.
