Things you Regret as an Adult that you didn't do as a kid,teen whatever?

no regrets whatsoever. i did everything i wanted to and still try to continue with that mindset. additionally, i even made it a point to do all the things that scared me. was great. the only thing left on that list is skydiving solo (not tandem).

i have read many studies that say the biggest regrets people have on their deathbed are the things the wanted but didn't do. that is horrible. i vowed not to let that happen.

and, i suggest you all try to follow your dreams while you still can

If you only knew the things I did, and what was given. It's no wonder so many were oozing with envy. Even those closest to me. But who were our forebears, anyway?

I don't regret a thing. There is, however, one act in particular I have yet to experience... We will see if it too comes to fruition, or maybe; Maybe it already has.

I wish I had been sexually active as a teenager.

I was raised in a strict Christian home way back in the hills in the early 60's. I used to think I missed out on so many things like when friends went to the beach, etc. I had to pay my own college so I worked after school, no spring breaks or drunken parties. By the time I finished work I could pass out without the alcohol.

As I have gotten older I am thankful now I grew up like that for the most part. Except being so isolated as a child, I wish we had had some kind of internet back then to keep in touch over the years.

I could have probably done college online and maybe gotten a more advanced degree, etc. also if the internet existed. There was absolutely no porn then and I know I am better off not having to deal with that twisted stuff as a teenager.

Whenever I think on the topic, I think of all the young men who died in WW2 like on D-Day and that can turn your day around. If I think I had a tough childhood & teen years those guys had it a miilion times worse.

You know, I honestly can say I had the perfect childhood. I had a group of 3 or us that we terrorized the neighborhood and if we could think of anything to do, we did it!
Same in High School, I did everything I wanted to do.
Now after the age of about 25, I have regrets.

It's pointless to regret things because given the same circumstances, etc. you would have done exactly what you did at the time anyway.

It's likely there's no such thing as free will. Your life is just like a video tape. Going back in time would simply be like rewinding and nothing would change because your knowledge, emotions, circumstances would be exactly what they were at the time and you'd make the exact same decisions.

I should have taken some hobbies or ideas that ive had more serious. but theres no regret. but looking back i wonder what would have happened. same way i remember wanting to buy bitcoins back when it took a few to order a pizza but forgetting to. knowing myself tho i probably would have sold em as soon as they were worth 100$ lol

Learned how to play several brass and stringed instruments, when I was young, but never learned how to play the piano.
Going to try to learn how to play the piano now as a senior citizen.
