The 2019 Dim debates felt like a scripted soap opera when watched from afar. I have not watched TV since 2016, and that makes it much easier to see the forest through the trees.

I have seen this scenario before.

Clinton had a good economy and no major issues going into 1996 election. Who did the pubbies put up? Good old Bob Dole.

Ditto 2008 with McCain and 2012 with Romney.

The dim elders and money men know that Trump will almost certainly win. Therefore, the first string candidates will not run this time.

The weak field is filled with wannabes who are hoping for more name recognition and a shot in the future when dim prospects improve.

Good question, and it seems so obvious. I’ve been thinking it’s all a big shit show for a while now. Seems likely they’ll bust out a candidate this summer who they couldnt have gotten support for earlier, like AOC, or God forbid, Michele O. But after everything that’s happened, I’d say they might do any insane thing...

Bloomberg will run as an independent. Either Hillary, Michelle, or Oprah will drop in at the last minute.

Then, they can play the old problem-reaction-solution game and offer communism as their "solution." It's the ultimate opportunity to buy their way into power by offering pie-in-the-sky.
