I fancied a bit of Pickle on a Cheese sandwich the other day. Opened the Fridge,checked everywhere. Next day i said to the wife i thought we had some Pickle. She said "we have" She opened the Fridge in front of me. There was the Pickle. Right there on the Middle shelf,right at the front.It was not in some obscure part of the Fridge hid by the Ketchup or other condiments. It was right at the front. Someone is fucking with me. I am getting used to these experiences though. I uses Eye glasses on my Laptop. When i get up to answer the Door i put them down on the Arm of the Chair.Often i come back i can not find them,get a spare pair out of the Draw.Only to see the original ones i lost miraculously appear on the arm of the Chair. We joke we have a poltergeist taking the piss. Wife has similar experiences. Who knows if those on the other side like to fuck with us or not.

Mostly I am open to the idea that this occurs due to gaps in sensory perception (like visual blind spots) and mental tricks. However, many years ago I was in my garage changing brakes on my car. I was sitting on the floor next to the right front wheel. One of the tools I was using was a large 15" flathead screwdriver. I placed the screwdriver on the floor beside me, worked on the brake for a few moments using other tools, and then turned to pick up the screwdriver. It was gone. Not only was it gone, but for the rest of my life I've never seen that screwdriver again. That must have been 30 years ago.
