Is It Possible That Long Range Israeli/US Drones Shadowed Airliner Causing Shoot Down?

Israeli F35's have been using civilian airliners and unarmed Russian reconnaisance planes as "human shields" in Syria:

It is conceivable that a long range stealth drone could have shadowed the Ukrainian airliner and broadcast a hostile IFF, causing the Iranian air defenses to fire.

As the drone was behind the airliner, the missile(s) proximity fuse would explode and damage the airliner.
