You know they been saying negative shit about weed for a long time, trying to get people like you to decry its evilness. Im sure you would rather your friends drink and drive, alcohol being legal and all. |

This study used a driving simulator, not an actual car in actual driving situations. So it could mean potheads are more dangerous drivers, or it could simply mean they're less likely to play along with farces. It's not conclusive. |

Which simply indicates that underage consumption is harmful as with essentially any mind-altering substance, including alcohol. Which is a surprise to absolutely no one. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 78344555 United States 01/15/2020 04:46 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Put the bottle down gramps, every pot head I know, if they are stupid enough to risk a DUI, they know how shit they drive because of being intoxicated. The difference between someone on cannabis vs alcohol when driving: Alcohol: "I'm the King of the World"- then smash into a wall. Cannabis: "I'm going to die, I'm going to get someone else killed, OMG I'm going to jail, OMG why am I doing this?, please God get me home safe!". When cannabis is fully legalized, I pity little old grandma's, as they will end up being profiled as cannabis DUI. Cannabis causes increased anxiety, anxiety causes people to drive slower and more careful. It is not that people who are intoxicated drive better when stoned, they just drive way more carefully because they realize they are impaired because of the increased anxiety caused by the THC intoxication. |

Marijuana makes you think you are better at everything. It's the plant's energy trying to get you to keep it surviving. Fact is, you can be crossing a street and not realize the light is not the color you thought it was. Seriously can mess up your timing. Devil's grass. |

Impulsive or even reckless personality types more likely to try the evil "your brain is frying eggs" reefer at a younger age. Years later these inpulsive people run more red lights on a driving similator. Could be both cases are at fault too. Reckless humans mad on reefer fail hard on car sims |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 72449409 Good point, and as close as a simulation can come, it still isn’t the same as driving in real world environments with a real vehicle. Maybe if they did a driving study on a closed course.....they might get results worthy of studying.
