Awesome, OP. I hope it's enough to put out the remaining fires, and keep any new ones from starting.

Im glad you're getting rain.

WHats the best weather sites to watch for realtime/near weather patterns?

We still get the occasional blast of smoke and ash in the air, its surreal. I can't imagine what its like to have it daily, for months now.

What goes up must come down.
Think of the moisture evaporation caused by the bush fires.

uhm.. u must have not read your own link. you are reinforcing his correct statement.

A flammagenitus cloud can help or hinder a fire. Sometimes, the moisture from the air condenses in the cloud and then falls as rain, often extinguishing the fire. There have been numerous examples where a large firestorm has been extinguished by the flammagenitus that it created.[4] However, if the fire is large enough, then the cloud may continue to grow, and become a type of cumulonimbus cloud known as a cumulonimbus flammagenitus, which may produce lightning and start another fire.[5]

yeah ok under lightning causes another fire lol sure, whatevs wiki. we get the point.

About 1 & half hours of good "soaking" rain. The rest drizzle shit

This is not a miracle.

Nowhere enough to extinguish the remaining fires or fix the drought.

5 days of mediocre predicted

Not even close to lifting our misery.

It’s really real. This time it’s gonna rain. We haven’t had rain where I am in months! Everything is so dry and brown. Water restrictions mean everyone’s beautiful lawns are now brown. The birds and the flying foxes are starving for nectar. The trees are losing leaves when they should be blooming. We need this rain so bad!

A couple teaser clouds have come through the last couple weeks, barely wetting the surface. Hopefully it was enough to make the ground more absorbent.

Thanks to everyone around the world who prayed or even hoped for rain for us!!!

Praying = asking God to change his will

Why didn't he stop the fires and save the lives of people and animals ?

You're in Oz now princess bunny. Hot, dry, and no rain is normal here, especially as it is summer.

Water restrictions continue all year round in many, many towns.

I hope you get out more, and actually see how much of Oz is desert.
