Steve Gleason [ link to www.nola.com (secure)] Former Saints player Steve Gleason (almost) received the Congressional Gold Medal at White House Jan. 15, 2020. Nancy Pelosi let his wife touch it, then jerked it away, closed it and took it from them. All she did was get a few pics with Steve Gleason and Steve Scalice. Nancy pretended to give it to him, took a bunch of pics with him, then snatched it back and left with it. This should have been a beautiful day for Steve and the public because President Donald Trump signed the legislation honoring Gleason into law on Jan. 3, 2019. Both the U.S. Senate and House overwhelmingly passed the bill that was authored by U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy. Steve is a former New Orleans Saints player and ALS advocate. He went from a strong and viral man to a wheelchair bound man, it is heart wrenching to see how destructive that disease is. In Jan. 2011, he was diagnosed with Lou Gehrig’s disease, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, a degenerative neuro-muscular disease that left him paralyzed. Where is that meme with the old guy and the fishing pole saying,"Oh, you almost had it" Watch Nancy take it and run, what will she do with it, melt down the medal for pennies?
