About 37000 Koalas are dead in the Kangaroo Island from fires.

In Sydney, it's has been raining since yesterday morning. But in Victoria, there are some emergency evacuations due to fires.

But the government didn't give two hoots about it promising 50 million dollars for wildlife after the death of 1 Billion animals. it's like 5 cents an animal. Disgusting.

"All creatures are created from the same paternal heartbeat of God. Not to hurt our humble brethren is our first duty to them, but to stop there is not enough. Poor things, they can't tell us their pain but we can help them.

With a special TV campaign, the children's program of the Dutch Public Broadcasting (NPO) and the World Wildlife Fund (WNF) help the endangered animals in Australia. The broadcast of NPO Zapp under the title SOS Koala is Saturday next week.

Presenters Klaas van Kruistum, Saskia Weerstand and Anne-Mar Zwart are calling on children and schools to raise money next week for the koalas and other animals in the forest-ravaged land.

Freek Vonk is very sorry
Biologist and presenter Freek Vonk, who is very popular among children, also says he hopes that the habitat can be restored. “Australia has been ravaged by very intense forest fires for weeks, perhaps the worst in history. As a biologist, I am really sorry to see such a beautiful country being destroyed. "

The TV promotion starts at 9 a.m. Then follow updates at multiple times of the day. Children can also come to the Zapp Live studio in Hilversum all morning to make a personal donation.

And before we go round moping "What about the humans" the Dutch will help them too.. After one week in the Appeal the Red Cross has collected 2,5 Million Euro for Emergency Aid.

Great question..
I am not aware of the widespread usage of drones for this purpose. I believe it's likely due to fear of igniting more fires if crashed in an area not accessible to fire fighters.

Remember the day temps in Sydney hit 48.9C degrees? There was an accident involving two pickup trucks close to my neighborhood. One crashed into the filling station ended up on its roof meters from the pump. Had that thing hit the pump it would have ignited the whole suburb. It was so hot everything was about to go up in flames around 3:00pm when this happened. Fire trucks didn't move it fearing sparks from doing so could start a blaze. I would say that was the blaze that would have burnt down a large area in Western Sydney. Miracle.

Why is this fire not put out yet? Bring in planes and jets and powders and pumps to spray from the water source. They are only saving animalsafter that video of teens doing it. This has been going for months.

What is more frustrating is the government refused help from Malaysia and Denmark which offered to send highly trained personal to fight these fires. This government won't survive the next election.

Well, I do agree that blue-eye blonde White women, are the most altruistic poeple on the planet.

However writing that "show the animal burying its face in its arms in sorrow", is just plain absurd!

No other animal, other than humans, does that to show sorrow.

I doubt even other closely related species such as Chimps do it, not to mention a Koala.

Hence, it sounds like an exaggerated, feel-good fantasy!

These people have seen this destruction first hand. It's not something staged. It's happening as we speak. Fires are not yet over. The Alpine region close to Victoria is on fire. Elephants, Chimps, Orangutans and other animals also behave like this and it's all documented if you know what I mean.
