‘Assault on the Second Amendment’: Virginia Senate passes three gun control bills
Virginia Democrats took an important step toward passing several gun control bills they have prioritized during this year's General Assembly session.

The majority-Democrat state Senate passed legislation that would restrict monthly gun purchases, expand background checks on firearms, and allow localities to ban guns in certain designated areas.

Senate Bill 69 amends Virginia law to restrict citizens' ability to purchase more than one handgun per month, Senate Bill 70 requires mandatory background checks for all private sales of guns, and Senate Bill 35 requires localities to ban guns at public events.

Although Democratic Sen. John Edwards struck the assembly's most controversial legislation, Senate Bill 16, which would have prohibited the sale, possession, or transfer of an assault rifle, many Republicans believe the House of Delegates will pass the similarly worded House Bill 961, which bans the purchase or possession of assault rifles in Virginia.

“Ladies and gentleman, this is probably the first assault on the Second Amendment, and we’re going to see many after that,” Republican state Sen. Bill Stanley said.

Legislation in the Virginia General Assembly is considered by the state Senate and House of Delegates separately before being sent across chambers for review during a period known as "crossover." Bills passed in both the Senate and the House of Delegates are then given to Democratic Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam to be signed into law.

They don't really care whether the truth gets out, because the public no longer knows what's meant by "the truth."

Well, I mean, no one can tell the difference anymore between what's real and what's fake.

Anyway, the point is, I can tell you all of this, right out in the open, because it doesn't matter who knows about it. They won't know whether to believe it or not.-

Odd. The constitution forbids the government from infringing on the God Given Right to Keep AND Bear arms.
Could they be overthrowing the constitution? Is this TREASON?

Re: ‘Assault on the Second Amendment’: Virginia Senate passes three gun control bills
Senate Bill 35 will destroy Virginia’s firearm preemption laws by allowing localities to create new “gun free zones” in and around public buildings and parks. Criminals will ignore these restrictions, leaving law-abiding citizens unable to defend themselves and their loved ones.

Senate Bill 69, commonly referred to as “one-gun-a-month,” would impose an arbitrary one gun limit on an individual’s right to lawfully purchase a handgun within 30 days.

Senate Bill 70 would ban many sales and transfers between private individuals without first paying fees and obtaining government permission. Firearm sales between friends, neighbors, or fellow hunters, would not be exempted. Transfers between family members are also likely to be banned based on the vague wording of the proposed legislation. This proposal would have no impact on crime and is completely unenforceable.

Senate Bill 240 looks to create so-called “Red Flag” gun confiscation orders. This bill will take your constitutionally-guaranteed rights and throw them out the window with insufficient due process in place.

This is only the beginning of our fight to protect the Second Amendment in Richmond, so it is critical for NRA Members and Second Amendment supporters to remain active and vigilant this entire session. These ill-conceived bills could receive a vote on the Senate Floor very soon and with no warning! Please contact your State Senator to OPPOSE Senate Bill 35, Senate Bill 69, Senate Bill 70, and Senate Bill 240. Standing together, we can turn the tide against the new anti-gun majority, but our resolve cannot waiver.

What is their description of what qualifies as an assault rifle?

Assault Rifles (technically full auto) are already banned nation wide.

Semi autos are known as sporting rifles.

Need to find their wording for the particulars

LAW OF THE LAND

"The general misconception is that any statute passed by legislators bearing the appearance of law constitutes the law of the land. The U. S. Constitution is the supreme law of the land, and any statute, to be valid, must be in agreement. It is impossible for a law which violates the Constitution to be valid. This is succinctly stated as follows:"

"All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void." Marbury vs. Madison,5 US (2 Cranch) 137, 174, 176, (1803)

I am tired of people saying be calm be civil and nice? It's time to real time tar and feather these fawk off traitor democrats and bulldozer any Antifa or black lives matter assholes in the process. A violent cleansing is needed I'm sorry to say these Democrats want it so let's give in and make them regret fawking with us. Virginia is where patriots need to make there stand and charge. Enough is enough I'm sick of it all and I'm old getting older my last few years? months or days will be bringing back the fawking 80s when it was fun to live and feel free. I'm a Pacific islander by the way so if Northram wants to call me a white nationalist? I'm so fawking okay with that. I'm all front line and I will give my life to protect the Constitution and my memories of what it was like to live in a country that made me happy and proud. Re: ‘Assault on the Second Amendment’: Virginia Senate passes three gun control bills
Democrat andrew yang want to introduce Universal Basic Income , that would obviously result in over population like in India and china bringing the american standard of life to gutter

Democrats in general also push for open boarders and liberal immigration policies ,flooding the american economy with heavy downpour of unskilled immigrants which would result in the same situation of over population and low standard of living

And in such over populated america with large demographic of working class population living on pay cheque to pay cheque democratic party will thrive as men and women are not concerned with their civil liberties, freedom or rights but just wants to get by with the accompanying bread and circus from hollywood

Imagine people in india carrying assault rifles !, it's just not feasible , there will be mass shootings every day.

american way of life is only practical in america with people living sparsely populated areas minding their on business as individuals . that's why democrats also want to ban single family home calling it racist .. it doesn't take a genius to know their ultimate intention.
