Wrong. Gravity waves foreshadow events by hours not days. Gravity waves travel at the speed of light, and neutrinos from the explosion would be a few hours ahead of the light as well.

Light is slightly slower because there is actually a wee bit of matter in the interstellar medium slowing things a tad.
