Tennessee reports 2,555 new coronavirus cases; rest of data delayed

The Tennessee Department of Health announced 2,555 new coronavirus cases Tuesday, bringing the state's total to 99,044 cases.

The rest of Tuesday's data, which includes the death count as well as new hospitalizations and recoveries, was delayed due to a "technical disruption," the health department said.

"We will post the complete data set as soon as it is available," a tweet from the Tennessee Department of Health's official Twitter account said.

took GF to dr office, 1st time since FEB before lockdowns. office is in a building connected to the hospital.hospital supposedly made a change to not take er patients. we have another hospital that takes the ER and ambulances.not sure how this works since we have not been near there.do klnow b4 this year they were both full at times.

"no,i clean it between ppl." yes i did but was nice bouot it. lady at desk on the floor,put mask on after we walked in. sits behind a plexiglass shield. mask still isn't adjusted well and is the cheap surgical cloth type that are not rated for the virus.

chairs are labeled,so u space 3 chairs apart. nurse says no there is no cases,when i asked bout the hospital.yet claims they get a notice every day. obviously, she doesn't read it since there are 8 as of last night for the county.DR has a student nurse from the new building at the college. note thought they were suppose to self-isolate after moving to town for 14 days. that buiilding has only been open a week. GF's doc has daughters in other states and at least 1 in Australia. knows zip. just says it is bad there. no real clue. actualy says i am good at remembering since i did know Melbourne had been locked down. u think she would have more knowledge and concern specially with family scattered elsewhere.i think 1 daughter is in VA or Carolinas. this doc also patted me on the back when i was walking out. u'd think a Dr would b more conscientous and not do that. she did let GF hold off on doing blood work til NOV.

That happened to a friend of mine who owned a restaurant, he was taking temps of the employees and one of the cooks had 103 temp. He almost got sent home until they realized it was the stove top, away from it, his temp was normal

Texas now says it will NOT provide funding for online-only classes to districts that go online-only solely due to a school closure order issued by a local health authority.

Other ways remain for districts to stay online-only and get funded to start the year.

Schools are funded by the property taxes in the city or town that they serve.

Sounds to me like they are trying to keep 100% of their budget in place, and bilk the state for extra cash to go online.

It seems to me like there would be more than enough savings from not having students physically present to set up some zoom classes... no busses, no lunch, extremely reduced utility costs, no sports programs...
