What is your beef with HCQ? Anyone is free to answer. I only see it being effective in clincial settings with real people. All the shit studies that were designed to fail are designed to cause more harm and to prevent the spreading of this damn thing.

Well, feel free to look back, they are designed to identify and not exclude. So if you really think that the sensitivity is at 80% HFS what is the specificity at?

(If it were at an 80% false-negative rate based on the sensitivity example you gave... well in my example where 169k tested negative around 34k of those would be positive).

Though remember PCRs are overweighted in identifying and are designed that way.

Most studies I have read on the subject are the SENSITIVITY is 98% plus... (Look at abbot labs rapid tests to the CDC assay).

Here is the point I was trying to make and STILL AM trying to make.

The test is designed for someone that has a high probability of having the virus. From the numbers I am looking at it is expecting 80% of people who take the test to test positive. (which would put it at a 1% false-positive rate).

No test is designed to be broadly based PERIOD. This test is designed to be based on symptoms (just like any other medical test) and not just because. There is a statistical reason to not test everyone for everything... it is designed for subjective evidence... that doctors make based on what they observe.

My concern is the just made webmd Syndrom testable... you have a headache one day and you think its corona so you get tested... from what I am looking at is 4% of those people will show positive.

If it's 96% for a false positive that is an absurdly high number... especially if it is anyone and everyone being tested. If you want to argue the other way of false negatives... I will agree as well. My point is the numbers are not right because it is mass testing just because vs. recommended testing.

For those that bring up hospital rates. I understand that BUT I have to bring up... how many news articles have you read where testing positive for covid is the cause of death when it was something else that actually killed them. Example: George Floyd had Covid... (don't believe me look it up...) he was not a covid death for a reason... though a motorcycle accident is considered a COVID death... I have read a few others too... so really accurate numbers right?

I am not saying COVID-19 is not real. I am saying that maybe it would be good to step back and look at everything vs what we are being told. Like I said I was a believer in how bad it could be... but what is going on is... well making me scratch my head.

I think the issues that you are expressing may be due to the fact that this is already endemic and unpredictable in many people. The individual biological terrain is being challenged in a way it hasn't been checked before....And, it truly seems, the tests are complete garbage.

We don't have the time, or the capacity to check every potential genetic potential for particular outcomes. All we can actually go on are clinical applications and observances.

If the tests were truthfully dependable, there wouldn't be all these problems. It would be like a pregnancy test. Pos or neg with less than a 5% error rate.

But what we're dealing with is completely ridiculous error rates.

Also, a lot of doctors have given up on the tests and are going on presumptive positives from symptoms.

Earlier, you mentioned a large number of middle aged people getting crazy colds in like November, iirc. Perhaps that was really the first wave.

Kind of the way I am seeing it now...We had a chance to halt it, but now it is endemic. All we can do is try to prevent it from becoming severe and attempt to halt it from hitting literally everyone. We can't stop it now. Only mitigate it. And hopefully, the mitigation efforts can lead to it becoming less lethal/debilitating to a percentage of the population.

I still don't see this as an ELE. I do see it as a major catastrophe with as yet undetermined effects on humanity.
