HCQ tards...


Not that Dutchy needs me or anyone else to defend him, but man, HCQ tards need some basic schooling.


Every SINGLE drug used for Covid-19 patients, and yes, it includes HCQ, are nothing but TREATMENTS for SYMPTOMS, and HCQ is basically used for those who are already one leg in the grave.


HCQ is working, it saves lives, (at GREAT RISKS btw, and it really doesn't matter if they get HCQ or not, almost same end result) but to think that HCQ matters in this pandemic is utter stupidity. HCQ, or any other treatment for Covid-19, does exactly NOTHING in stemming the pandemic.


The virus will keep infecting people, keep sending them to hospitals, keep killing them, and treatments will never impact the pandemic.


If I get a fucking cold, I will keep getting it for as long as i am going to live. Same with flu. And the same with Sars 2.


Difference is that cold and flu don't send tens of millions in hospitals and millions in the ground in half a year...and bare in mind, SARS 2 hit us in the fucking Spring and Summer, not in the Fall.


But now the Fall is coming, and more importantly, the Winter is coming.


What the hell will TREATMENTS do when this thing is going to REALLY HIT US in the cold season, and most hospitals will be crammed with all kind of patients, from flu to car accidents...and Covid ON TOP OF THIS, in numbers that will be 10 times bigger then in March-April?



I wish people will stop looking at how many people the virus is killing, because it's not that many, and start realizing at how many is sending to the hospitals...IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING SUMMER.


HCQ, Remdesivir, Zinc, Az, whatever the fuck other shit we use, are not going to make a dent in hospitalizations, and hospitalizations, but more important, ICU hospitalizations is what matter...not the bellow 2% death rate of the virus.

So here is my take on HCQ:

First and foremost, my cousin - who works with the department of health in a hard-hit state - told me to stay away from HCQ due to the damage it could cause to my heart.

But beyond that, I just performed a Google search for "HCQ covid treatment." The top return was from the FDA, warning against the use of HCQ as a treatment for Covid patients due to "reports of serious heart rhythm problems and other safety issues, including blood and lymph system disorders, kidney injuries, and liver problems and failure."

However, the second return was a report from the Henry Ford Health System, stating "Treatment with hydroxychloroquine cut the death rate significantly in sick patients hospitalized with COVID-19 – and without heart-related side-effects."

The top two search engine results, both dated July 2, 2020, are diametrically opposed to each other, and as the old saying goes, "Two man claim to be Jesus, at least one of them is lying."

So I decided to dig a little deeper on Henry Ford Health System. Turns out they are a registered political action committee. Their full name is HENRY FORD HEALTH SYSTEM GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS SERVICES PAC. It appears they donate mostly to Democratic politicians, but not exclusively. They play both sides of the fence.

So what are we supposed to believe? Looking at HCQ directly, the CDC and Johns Hopkins both say it is an approved treatment/preventative against malaria. But the dosage for that use is only 400mg once a week. The dosage to treat CV19 is a total of 2,800mg spread out over 5 days. Ergo, maybe why it is considered safe for malaria but there are serious side effects when used for Covid.

So where does that leave us, the common folk? As has been demonstrated throughout this entire pandemic, it leaves us caught in the middle of a big political game, and you can't identify the players without a flow chart. The research I've done seems to indicate that HCQ is fine for its original intended use, but is questionable for COVID. If I'm on my deathbed and I have the choice between 100% chance of death by Covid or 50% chance of death by taking HCQ, I'll play the odds, of course.

But I'm tired of the political bullshit interfering with information that the public needs to know, and we need to know NOW. This post took me over half an hour to research, and that just involved the FDA, Henry Ford Health System. CDC, and Johns Hopkins. Who the hell has time to wade through all the bullshit to arrive at some semblance of a possible truth?

Okay, I'm done ranting. Use the information above as you wish. The search terms I used to obtain this information were:

This will let you run the exact same searches I did, but make sure you do so in a private browser tab and not logged in to your Google acount. (I used StartPage.) That will provide organic search results as opposed to results filtered through Google's algorithms that show you what they think you want to see.

Yeah...but as long as they keep thinking in the paradigm of "things will be back to normal", they will never find a solution.

People are too docile and simpleminded as a whole (with a few exceptions). They simply cannot grasp that the "new norm" is not just the old norm with a cheap mask on.

I agree, yes especially in the health service, but it's all about targeting the risk demographics.

In the UK, out of 50k deaths, only 500 of those deaths were under 45 years old.

So why not lose some of that experience, keep the economy going and shield the vulnerable age groups?

If this is going to be an ongoing problem, lets adjust our working practices..

We're doing okay. I'm still stressing despite efforts to the contrary, but that's just my personality and I know that. Raffette and I are running various scenarios with each other - even unlikely ones - just so we have some semblance of a plan in place no matter what happens. I have been preaching for YEARS about the need to have some basic level of preparedness, even if it's only 72 hours. Indiana has tornadoes, snowstorms, and damaging winds that result in power outages all the time. Why every Hoosier would not have a basic kit stashed somewhere to get them through a few days without power is beyond me.

So my heart doesn't ache. They're heard my warnings. Anyone who chose to ignore those warnings gets no sympathy from me.
