I figure I’m going to soft and read what I find anyways so might as well share.

Interesting trends going on.

The specificity of the stories is one - like the one above.
It’s timely because of schools “restarting”.
But damn, this economic mess is really hitting deep.

We would have pts come to the ER because they were extremely anemic and need blood transfusion, have low or high potassium, sodium, etc. The doctor's office would call them and tell them to go to ER for admission and we'd start their treatment until their bed was ready. I can't tell you how many times I've given blood to people who should be unconscious/dead whose abnormal labs were found when the clinic did labs.

We are shining stars.

Hubby is a Firefighter/Medic and it's rough some days, but since we're both in Emergency Medicine we understand each other's need to be alone and quiet some days. I can't imagine being with someone who isn't medical and doesn't see what we see. Trying to switch between the chaos and death to happy family in just a car ride home would be challenging.

What are we going to do with all of these empty buildings?
Not just Northwestern.

Many industries are about to grind down to almost nothing. The rich aren’t spending and the poor have nothing to spend.

There ain’t much left in the middle, but for maybe two months max.

It’s pretty incredible.
Mothball the buildings.
But we all know, they will deteriorate quickly without regular use and maintenance.

I don’t know about the 2 months.
Even large failed corporations have enough mass to last longer than that.
Although one can easily argue this has all been failed for decades.
