Well it’s not an easy situation...... but imagine not believing in a virus and suddenly, you can’t tell the waves apart because folks aren’t recovering as quickly and it’s cold. And miserable.

They'll just start saying it's not related. There is a group of people that are seeking to justify their preconceived notion that there is no problem. In trying to keep that notion alive they are okay with sustaining the problem, setting up death panels, spreading misinformation and actively making the problem worse.

It's about 8-9k total death daily in the US, it depends on the season. The covid deaths are on top of that. As of late every week had a 8th day worth of deaths from covid or -put in another way- a roughly 14% increase in mortality.

The 6-feet is a arbitrary line that enforces the basic idea that covid hops from person to person. Even though the article makes good points I doubt we'd be better off if we have to carry about with a ruler, a calculator and a booklet of equations to figure out how far we can reasonably be. A degree of "common sense" should be expected.

Well, using the town's own statistics and applying that to the total number of attendees at the rally this year, 14,639 people went home infected.

This is very basic, generalized math, but my guess is it's a reasonable approximation, give or take 1,000.
