Ok, if we're going to start parsing words I have to admit that I did NOT specifically reference the Declaration of Independence. Shame on me.

That document states, and I quote:

To further clarify my thought...I take the word "God" to mean just that, God. I take the word "Creator" to also reference God.

I do hope that's clear enough, Jazz. And I also hope that we might agree that there's enough correlation between the authors of the Declaration and the authors of the Constitution and Bill of Rights that we can see the impact of the Declaration on those subsequent documents.

Large metro areas tend to be college towns... is there a large metro area without a major college... or 10?

I'm just saying we always have to keep reporting bias in mind when it comes to this stuff.

Opening schools is a political hot-button issue, media will do whatever they can to blame every single case possible on schools just like they did with protests (until it was their people protesting) At the same token, I think we all know schools opening is a bad idea... but reporting needs to be viewed with a skeptical eye.

Remember those articles claiming hundreds of cases linked to the one-day April lockdown protest in Michigan? But then after months of violent protests for Floyd, there was a slew of articles claiming almost no cases could be traced back to them.

Mississippi has been doing this for months. I always just subtract the "previous deaths" to get the actual REAL TIME deaths. Not that the other deaths don't count, I just like to know what is happening NOW.

This skews the 7 day moving average so bad it pisses me off. They can just as easily go back and add it to the actual date instead of piling all on at once to skew the numbers. I guess it has a better shock factor that way.

I was out in the garden most of this glorious day and I heard not one neighbor anywhere. The interstate highway noises were really high decibel yesterday so everyone must have headed out to Mississippi to BBQ parties in Tarnished Halo’s neighborhood or something.

Makes me feel like if I had about 50 acres people wouldn’t bother me much at all.

There are tents and grills galore around here. If cases don't spike in 3 weeks I'm going to flip to hopeburger side for good.

On the way home I saw no less than 4 houses with tents set up, cars parked everywhere and smoke coming from the grills. It smelled so good if Covid wasn't a factor I would've stopped and begged for some of whatever they were cooking!!
