Blackburns makes a good jelly. Without online ordering I haven't seen plum jelly in a store in almost forever.
Economically it doesn't make sense unless you have access to fruit trees you can pick for free.
I figure with the cost of everything I'm running between 4 and 5 dollars per pint of jelly. Not to bad but it is more expensive than buying a jar of commercial. Main thing is I just can't get plum jelly in a store anymore and now with 12 pints I have enough jelly for the next 5 years.
We got a bushel of apples for $45 dollars. Weighed it when we got home and it was 22lbs, so that's 2.05 per pound. Which is more than what you pay at the grocer. I think PYO farms used to be cheaper and worth it but not anymore, like farmers markets. If you want to pay twice as much as found in a store go down to the local farmers market.

I have and yes the virus may change, but for the time being, those most at risk have either died or still isolating, it's just something worth noting..
