I'm glad most everyone is on right now. I have to apologize for my rant/freak out the other day. I'm SO embarassed, I shouldn't have posted most of it or at least, deleted it. It was so long ago, I didn't know I would react that way.

Our family is going through things right now with mil and I guess I was a loose cannon the other day. Anyway, if I'm not seen for awhile, it's because of family issues. It'll be what it is, just dealing with adult kids that never grew up.

Y'all really are the best.

The adult kids are my husbands siblings. My sweet mother-in-law is starting down the end of life road. Temporary plans are in place. She was in the hospital for a week and just came home the other day. Permanent plans to keep her home are pending. Waiting for insurance co. She'll be home for as long as possible. No way will we follow her old plans of going to a home. Thankfully, some of us worked in homes in past lives. I keep teasing my bil that he was direct care, I was dietary! Ask me to cook for several hundred people. That I can do. The correct way to lift, nope!

You're right about the childhood, though, Dutchy. They had an awesome one. There were troubles, but they were young and don't remember all of it.

this DOOM is not what any of us expected. the slow burn. many of us face DOOM in our own lives. socially cut off,$$, removed from family,exiled,relapses,working on the front lines,etc. we all feel your pain. we have all faced our own parts of the DOOM.separation anxiety,fear for children, depressions over $$ or the sickness, etc.

hell i say things i worry is taken wrong. then try to clarrify and that is taken wrong too.think we are all on edge. and none see a good way out or foward.

not to b evil but take this as an emotioal prep.

i think there are many ppl that we will never see again. many will perish from this. i have tried to get the GF and muyself to realize it now so it isn't as hard to swallow later.

I do that, too. That's my problem with txting and posting. No expressions of any kind. If I'd have been face to face, I would watch facial expressions and maybe explained better or not gone there at all.

I always seem to put mental pictures of people I interact with. It's kind of weird, because it's always old movie characters. Some of you are from the Wizard of Oz and, of course Riff is Capt. Kirk. Sorry Jazz, I kind of think of you as the cowardly lion, who is NOT cowardly at all!

I'm glad you posted that, Jazz. I've already lost my own parents in the past 4 years. My husband just got a text from his brother. My mil is in stage 3 congested heart failure. I knew she had it, because it run's in my family. I watched my gramma die from it. My mom and little bro had it in the end, too. My mil is the last of her generation in our family. It won't be long now, but it WILL be ugly. I really didn't think she was so far along. She's only started presenting a couple of months ago. But.....now we have a diagnosis. My troubled brother in law won't deal well. His whole life is denial.

I'll try. It might work, but you do know his darker history, right? Not going to link it, because I'm pretty sure it's not all been proven. It makes for some creepy storytelling, though.
