I already put forth my ideas. You are a grown up..... try reading.

But since you enjoy trying soooooooo hard to make me into a demon...... hear me roar.....

Ideas are one thing. You were straight up reckless. I have time to make sure that reckless isn’t confused with usefulness.

So for the millionth time..... read. Because you haven’t. And I can tell by your ignorant questions.....which pointing this out does not equal an abusive post.

You see belittling.....and that is a problem that you really need to print this shit out and discuss with someone else.
 Quoting: CleverCreator

Your rhetoric might make sense in your world.

But not in real life.

All you do is trash people and give out scare tactics

And shout to the world “I am right and everyone else is doing it wrong”

I am reckless.lol

There you going trying to incite lack of knowledge and education on people you disagree with. But in the same breathe you present your ideas on a pedestal.

Ok, let me get this straight. Anyone who does not adhere to your guidelines is ignorant, uneducated and simply should not participate in this thing called life.

Sorry stay in your townhome, You offer nothing of significant. Only tyranny and weak personal rebuttals without evidence and do not make any sense. FYI

Look, nobody in your world that wants to be ruled by you. Imagine that.

That’s what happens when you try to control peoples lives, they will vanish and not care if they cross paths with the tyrant ever again.

By the way, it is just a flu that attacks respiratory system more aggressively.

I can see it now. The Midwest blanketed with snow. No where to go. Covid will become even more deadly as the fear mongers crawl out of their winter hatchet. And come scratching and creeping into this thread offering nothing but doom and gloom. Wait you have been doing this for 6 months already.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 79161915

The truth is there is nothing left to do but live our lives in a much more dangerous world. And we should try to prepare as much as possible so that we can handle the next few years of chaos as the system realigns itself. It’s never going away, we don’t know how to fix it, and the world in 2020 is now more like the world in 1900 than 2018 in terms of health risks. Maybe that’ll change one day but not any time soon.

And if someone is at high risk, they should take more precautions. But everyone on the planet will get this virus. Everyone. We all need to accept it.
 Quoting: d_senti

Senti, I find your posts to be refreshingly rational.

I HOPE I am wrong along with most of my colleagues on this thread. My initial fears and forecasts have NOT come out the way I predicted. We have a much lower infected rate and much lower mortality rate.

GOOD!

However, like many here, I counsel prudence with regard to this bio threat. Few listen, at least in my family and personal life.

IMHO, we could cut the rate of spread, but the drive to keep the economy open and people's desire to live normally will defeat those efforts.

However, I DO think it is possible for individuals, whether high risk or not, to organize their lives to avoid infection.

Many of us can work from home and have all essentials delivered or use parking lot pickup. With appropriate decontamination, we can probably survive just fine staying at home.

I never went to movies, sporting events, concerts, etc. anyway.

I am blessed to be in self-quarantine with a beautiful woman who loves me.

I only have moments to drop in during the day. Right now, I need to go tend to my chickens.
 Quoting: darth

I appreciate it! I’ve enjoyed your posts as well.

I understand the broad concern and, honestly, I get both sides. Not the hoaxer point of view, but a wide range. The truth is we have limited information and the response of public officials has been very disturbing. It’s a question of whether you think they’re panicking in the face of a serious threat or merely using it as an opportunity for a power grab. It’s probably both.

The range of outcomes here is huge, and we all have to live with the uncertainty. If future rounds show a strong immune response, then perhaps this won’t be nearly as serious in the future. If a few of the things that could go wrong do go wrong, then we are definitely in a lot of trouble.

I don’t know the truth. I doubt anyone (that we know) does. I’ve read more about this virus than anyone I know. There’s a lot to be concerned about and I doubt we will be lucky to get away with one bad year from it. That would be unbelievable good luck. But exactly how serious this is...we won’t know until mid 2021 I suspect.

Analysis Finds True US Pandemic Death Toll Is Much Higher Than 200,000

BU researchers: number of pandemic-related deaths is 36 percent higher than reported, with disadvantaged communities hit even harder than thought

Researchers discovered that for every 100 excess deaths directly attributed to COVID-19, there were another 36 excess deaths—also likely caused by COVID-19, but in a less obvious manner.

Prayers for you and your family for full recovery and no long haul complications. Would you mind sharing what kind of treatments/supplements you all are using?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 20341984

All that we were prescribed is albuterol inhalers as needed. DD was also prescribed bonzonatate in february. The bottle is still full. As I recall it made her feel like her heart was racing and she opted for some otc robitussin, mucinex, nyquil or somesuch.

My daily supplements (same as Ive been taking for 10 years, but additional amounts are added if Ive in proximity to someone who is sick - or now that i am).

4000 mg vit c (10000mg/day until colon flush -gross sorry)
5000 IU vit d3 (25000 IU day right now)
50 mg zinc (cant take more than this as it makes me sick)
200 mcg k2 (should be equal to d3, but i eat tons of kale)
700 mg potassium citrate
140 mg p73 oreganol
900 mg magnesium citrate
25000 IU vitamin a
400 IU vitamin e complete (contains tocopherols)
100 mg b1
20 mg b2
25 mg b3
2 mg b6
400 mcg b9 "folate"
15 mcg b12
30 mcg biotin "vitamin h"
5.5 mg b5
12.5 mg iron
1000 mg vegan omega 3-6-7-9

i also add to my daily meal 1 tsp each of : fresh ground organic turmeric root, ginger root, garlic, onion, parsley, cilantro, basil, thyme, rosemary.
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1/4 tsp ground black pepper

i have also made the grapefruit rind quinine...yuk BTW. I plan on making Hnry's thieves oil, but I have to order the stuff for it now since i am cornteened.

Please keep in mind that I have a very unusual eating lifestyle due to extreme food allergies and sensitivities. I do OMAD(one meal a day)/vegan/keto because thats what works for me. I only eat so my body doesnt die, because most foods try to kill me.

DS just got up. Feels much worse today. Says his throat is "on fire", dizzy, light-headed when standing.

Dont hate on me for my eating, my lifestyle was a lifetime in progress.

Love and blessings yall! Stay safe.

I have may have similar problems to yours it seems, and take similar supplements. Just a few things, if you don’t mind, and you may already know them.

With that much A make sure you are either taking the ones with pectin or are taking pectin at the same time so excess A oil solubles don’t accumulate in your liver.

Take at least 400 mg Magnesium. The soils are mostly depleted of that and it is necessary for D assimilation.

Thursday Plantation tea tree oil swabbed on the throat and in the ears always takes away sore throats and earaches instantly for me. This is ill advised by almost everyone but I’ve been doing it for decades without a problem. Other brands haven’t worked for me.

That much vitamin C I’ve done in the past but I wouldn’t do it these days - now that we know the importance of gut bacteria which it could possibly kill off as easily as it killed off all the bacteria in my septic system back then! Also, back then, I was unaware, as I am now aware, that both Linus Pauling and his wife died from cancer ... That little fact has been cover up.

The P-5-P form of B6 is really good and made a big difference when I switched to it. My MD, who is also a physicist, and who is also very into alternative medicine, advised me to make the switch. She said anyone who’s second toe is as long as their big toe and does a lot of cerebral work does better on it. Sounded crazy to me but I switched and it works so that’s good enough for me. Took away brain fog.

Thank you for your input. Always appreciate advice and just the simple fact that someone reads and cares. Lots of that on this board. All y’all are awesome! I double checked and my vitamin a has pectin. I take a lot of it because of my optic nerve deterioration and at the instruction of my ophthalmologist. She never mentioned the pectin, so I guess it was lucky that I chose that one. I picked it because it was vegan lol

Also added the p-5-p b6 to my next Amazon order. I take probiotics once per week or more, but not daily, to help with the vitamin c issue. Before I figured how to eat to live, getting sick was miserable, always felt like I was about to die. I’ve had just about every illness and my body likes to save germs for later so I can pass it on to others. I’m pretty scared about having this now because of that fact and that so much reinfection/reactivation info is being verified.

Thanks again to you and everyone for insight and well wishes.

Much love. Stay safe!

Have you considered quercertin to help zinc absorption?

I also have food issues, my symptoms are histamine reactions and IBS. I follow a low fodmap diet (Tweaked a bit) and that does well for me. But I am close to keto at this point, except a little rice and potatoes. I can’t do OMAD but I only eat eggs in the am

Interestingly, a lot of us on this thread have similar health problems. I have Lyme, Texan and CC both have Fibromyalgia/Chronic Pain ... lots of food sensitivity/digestive stuff, too .... It's nice that we can support one another in that regard. I know I'm forgetting people in this list.

I'm being extra cautious because my immune system is so dysregulated. I really hate that you have COVID, Sorta.... that's got to be really scary. It sounds like you do a lot to take care of your health on the daily, so that will definitely help.

My supplements list is very similar to yours ... and includes some additional things to keep the Lyme in check.

I had no idea Linus Pauling and his wife died of cancer! I have been known to do mega doses of vitamin c, but don't do it all the time.

And you never know the lurkers y’all could be helping.

Some folks wouldn’t think to try new things. And some folks might learn that just being kinder to oneself is a step in the right direction, too.

Y’all are loved.

I’ve noticed the similarities as well and I love that we can support each other! And I love that everyone is listening and communication as we go through this. I hope what I journal here actually helps someone else and it helps calm me down. The things we’ve seen and read here in the last 10 months are scary in their own but looking at them now through the eyes of actually having it is a-whole-nother level. So, on a sorta related note... we were watching my father in law’s church service online tonight and they had an elderly guest speaker. This guy had a crazy amount of health issues, Leukemia, heart problems AND had covid on top of everything else. He said he was asked if he said he was afraid he was going to die and he said no, if God decided he was ready for him to come hang out, then that would be his time. That was comforting to me, except that I have a lot of people depending on me, that’s what scares me the most.

You’re welcome!

I just read your post about your son’s tongue swelling. I had that happen to me when I was at the worst in my illness. I was told by the same alternative M.D. to take a lot of stress B. It worked. Neurotoxins seem to drain the body of a lot of B vitamins.

When my mother was in the nursing home she was diagnosed with macular degeneration. I had to take her in a medivan on a 3 hour trip straight from hell, where practically everything possible went wrong from minute one, to a specialist eye doctor. That doctor wanted me to bring her back there every few weeks to get injections in her eyes which were not guaranteed to work and at best would just stop further degeneration. My mother said she would rather go blind and I said I’d rather we both went blind than to go through a trip like that again.

I did some homework and ended up giving her a t. of ground up organic bilberries from Croatia in her Ensure everyday. Not only did her eyes not get worse they improved as her in-house visiting eye doctor confirmed. A few years of that and her eyes no longer even had macular degeneration!

Since my mother died I hadn’t thought about the jar of bilberries I still had left until last week it occurred to me to take them myself as I always thought of them as hers. I was having eye problems. They work for me. I’m seeing clearer. You might want to add them to your Amazon list!
 Quoting: sos

Added the stress b and the bilberries to my Amazon order! My optic nerves were attacked by a histoplasmosis infection. My retinas are full of scars. I’m blind in the left but have most of my vision in the right. I’ve been told by 4 specialists it’s irreversible but I will take anything and do anything to protect what’s left, so I super appreciate that advice!! I’m so sorry about your trip from hell! One of the specialist I was sent to is 8 hours away and he also wanted me to come every 3 months for injections that “might” help. I was like, Naw, let’s just keep the other one from going bad, thanks.

Thank you again!!! Much love!

I’ve had just about every illness and my body likes to save germs for later so I can pass it on to others. I’m pretty scared about having this now because of that fact and that so much reinfection/reactivation info is being verified.

Thanks again to you and everyone for insight and well wishes.

Much love. Stay safe!

I am going to check out bilberries for my FIL! He has MD and it is just awful... he has dementia but the inability to see just makes everything 10 times worse. Thank you for this!p suggestion!

Yes, I have quercetin in my Amazon cart as well. Thank you for reminding to double check it’s still there! I should’ve ordered that sooner but there’s always a ton of prep stuff I need at payday. Sorry about your food issues...it sucks but after 10 years I don’t even miss the way I used to eat. I can’t eat meat potatoes grains or sugar at all. They are big offenders on the trying to kill me list lol. Apparently meat allergy is kinda rare so I’ve been tested for lyme but was negative, although I have had ticks on me several times when I was a child. I adjusted to OMAD quite easily, I was surprised and Keto was a dream come true. You gotta do what works for your body!

Hey everybody!

Croc: I'm so glad you and Miss Liz are doing well! Keep it that way! :)

Darth: I'm glad the coyotes didn't get your animals! Thank you for sharing your stories and showing us what hard work and dedication really means. :)

sortamorta: I hope you and your family get well very soon. Thank you for sharing your experience with us! AND PLEASE SEE MY COMMENT BELOW ABOUT SUDDEN DEAFNESS SINCE YOUR SON HAS VERTIGO.

Where is Jazz?

Someone posted a story this morning about a woman with Covid going deaf in one ear. It's rare, but it does happen with respiratory viruses. It happened to me in 2006 when I was doing overseas screening (medical) for Japan. I had to go in for a tetanus shot, and came down with a weird upper respiratory infection with vertigo. I wasn't very sick, but I went completely deaf in my right ear three days later. There is a steroid treatment that helps some people, but I wasn't able to get it in time.

And speaking of overseas screening, I have had three medical/dental appointments in the last three weeks, with another medical this week. That will be four appointments in four weeks. Yikes. The hospital (military) has been pretty empty, but the dentist office (civilian) was full. That surprised me. No cavities, though!

Also, South Korea DID have a lockdown. I don't know where that Twitter came from that said they didn't. SO MUCH DISINFO......

I've read every comment this weekend. If I didn't respond to you in this post, please know that I read your words, and I love you all more than my luggage.

Keto is amazing, my son does it and along with low dose meds has been epilepsy free for 2 years. My husband does it, his cholesterol, blood sugar numbers are now normals and all his allergies are gone. He sleeps so much better. I tried it but I find I have to have a little potato or rice to counteract the fat and slow down my digestion, because of another issue I won’t go into again on this thread. I’m a big fan

I just saw that too a few days ago. Never saw it before, it was great.

What I noticed is that the same bullshit that is argued with politics back then is still argued today. So really no progress has been made at all. The machine continues. Sometimes I wonder if Covid will actually break it.

I know the cogs are grinding....but will the machine actually break??????

I think your elderly speaker has it right. I believe the same. Just over 20 years ago, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer and given a choice of treatments. I chose surgery, partly because I'm a chicken! I got squirrely every single time I thought of chemo. My hat's off to those that did/do it. You truly are my heros! My kids were still at home and I understand people counting on you.

Don't let it scare you. If you truly and honestly believe the Lord holds you in His hand, then you have to know that He won't let the others down if He were to take you. He's not random and He DOES have a plan for you and your family.

Ok, I'm done. It's short, but I don't want to get into the weeds on this thread. Sorry, hon. I would pm you if I could.

Thank you for your kind words!

Love and blessings!

That was comforting to me, except that I have a lot of people depending on me, that’s what scares me the most.

yes! and this is what scares me the most!

It’s hard when you have kids still depending on you, and in my case an elderly parent, and a bunch of farm animals... I hate the thought of leaving my hubby with all this to handle.

WHO, World Health Organization, says lockdowns a mistake.

WOW, now the left has absolutely nothing besides the “fine people” hoax.

The left complained of Trump not listening to “the science” and now “the science” is saying lockdowns are a mistake. On top of that “the science” is saying what the left advocates, locking down, is what hurts the poor the most - while left complains Trump for letting things open up as hurting the poor the most.

As I have pointed out before, and it is quite naturally the one option that most people don't want to consider because of its implications, but it is absolutely possible for both sides to be correct in this case. This may be an actual Kobayashi Maru no-win scenario we are facing.

I have not approved of the Trump Administration's handling of the pandemic. However, the reason I have cut Trump a little bit of slack on it is because other governments have done worse, and it is entirely possible that we would be at this exact point right now regardless of who was in the White House in 2020.

So can we please dispense with the left versus right blame game? Both left and right have been doing their damnedest to politicize this pandemic in their favor, but I guarantee you the virus is completely non-partisan. Moreover, I personally do not think it's possible for a country whose economy is rooted solely on corporate profits to simultaneously contain the virus AND keep their economy intact.

The best thing we can do as civilians is provide as much information and support to each other as possible, because I promise you, our government - whomever that turns out to be - is not coming to save our asses.

Thank you! im sorry for your hearing. My dad had one of his ear drums completely eaten by a bacterial infection he got in the late 80's. He was already 80% deaf in the other from a childhood injury. It was a hard experience for him. That eardrum was miraculously restored, but i dont want to stir the Christian pot here, so I'll leave it at that. I will add the hearing question to my daily interview of them about their symptoms and keep track of mine as well! I really dont want to lose any of whats left of my senses! Haha i just found that funny as i typed it, but yeah.

Much love and blessings!
