My Tuesday the 13th isn't starting well either. Had a client drop off their office network security platform that I installed and configured for them a while back. This is a platform I have been using for over a decade, so I know it pretty well. But this is the third device of the exact same model to crash when updating from an older software version to a newer version and then not only becoming unbootable, but also refusing fresh installations of the software.

Argh.

On the cautiously optimistic side of things, I did sell my old Tandy 1000 computer as a collector's item on E-Bay late last night, so that brought in a a little mad money for me.

We have had 4 really good ones. This one is two months old. And appeared as the demon thing wasn’t working.

And there is still unfortunately the possibility of them being a pawn. But as you clearly stated.....not exactly much mentally unprepared up in here.....

You are loved. Send that to Mrs. Croc as well.

Little man is currently building a T Rex from mega blocks. He took the below apart a year ago and got upset because I wouldn’t help him.... gave them back ... last week. It only took him 4 hours to put them back together.... with a few pointers such as pay attention to leg placement.

We left my house at 10pm on a Monday night.
My ten year old only got a few hours of sleep in the truck, I drove till 5am upon arriving at destination. Zero sleep.

Arrived at uncles, had breakfast, and time to take the boat to the river.

We fished from 7 am till 2 am. 45 rainbow trout. Time to clean fish.

Aunt arrived home from work at 6pm Tuesday after taking a Covid test at her hospital. Coworker was showing symptoms on Monday. Allergies like. Sneezing runny nose. Yes they are both nurses for 30 years. Aunt in her mid 50s, strong woman.

We sat her table that Tuesday night, ate her food, she watched tv with my son.

Mind you, my ten year old only had 3 hours of sleep the night before and sat in the boat, sun, swimming, catching trout for 7 hours. Obviously me too, only without any sleep.

We were worn out by the end of the night. I made my decision and we stayed the Tuesday night and went to sleep in their Very small house.

Saw her the next morning. Wished her a good day at work.

We left that day and arrived back home late late Wednesday night.

Got a call Friday morning her test was positive. She started showing symptoms late Friday night and Saturday.

Husband finally tested the next week on Tuesday and was positive.

My son and my immune system was obviously low and we were pushed to our limit before we spent the night with someone that was positive.

She had no symptoms therefore our but our very weak bodies did not contract the virus. Nor did husband at that moment. Obviously once she started showing symptoms on the weekend. Is most likely when he contracted it from her. He said he had slight sore throat on Monday night the next week and took the test the next day

No need to talk shit about any of our decision making that I detailed. The story. I just wanted to post the events, showing why I think the covid is only contagious once symptoms set in. Obviously this cannot apply to every case in the whole world.

But just a glimpse of my experience and reasoning.

Oh and both are ok. Uncle had preexisting conditions. Cancer survivor and really does not take care of his 60 year old body. But they both came out on the other side with antibodies and are back to the covid normal world.

And of course my test was negative

Not pandemic related. It only affects this one specific model as near as I can tell.

This is I believe the first death by reinfection/relapse we know of.

But I think we should also take note of something around the reinfections.

This virus is weird, and many people are so called "asymptomatic", they have no or minor symptoms, no way of knowing it is eating them away inside unless they get tested.

So in theory, we don't actually know how many people were previously infected asymptomatically, it never got found cos they never got tested, then on relapse/reinfection they got sick, then got tested and found they had the virus "for the first time" (as no one would know they had already had it).

So there may be many more deaths from/and
relapses/reinfections than we know.

I used to do alot of stuff like that. Push myself to the brink. Don't take blessings for granted. I'm glad all of you are ok.
