I know I said I was going to bed, but this is bugging me and I feel like I need to write this to you, Pillar, my friend..

I know CC suggested counseling for you, and if you feel the need to reach out, go ahead..just listen carefully to what they say..if it doesn't resonate, doesn't ring true to your own way of thinking, don't feel compelled to follow it..

Someone very rich and important told me once in NYC to take advice from people you want to end up like..i.e. consider the source. You wouldn't take advice from someone who has clearly screwed up their life...and when you call a counselling line (just like GLP) you don't know who exactly is dispensing said advice. Just be cautious. Some counselors, like some lousy teachers, are not there to help people but to serve their own twisted interests.

Specific to here, and just one example: Darth's words carry significant weight by how he tells his life experiences. His writing conveys truth and wisdom. His suggestions are worthwhile because he uses real life examples to back them up. Doommonkey is another; CC provides analysis and raises pertinent questions and she is my source in case I miss anything. Larry provides measured, thoughtful commentary as does The Gent; Guythu is great as a news source. Serenity gives me wonderful as does Tarnished Halo...Henry is very creative and colorful and blunt in a way I appreciate; Dutchy is analytical...I could go on and on but I'm starting to get tired and you know I love you all...I learn alot from this thread almost all the time, except when the trolls snark around...

Back to the Future (what I watched this past weekend, again) That is, Another suggestion is to study the movies/shows/music videos/video games you like to watch/play--that you have seen more than once, so you know what's going to happen: the camera angles, how the music is used, words in the dialog; this is important because how *you* react to how the program is constructed can give you insight into your own personality, and if you are feeling creative, perhaps give you an idea of your own to write/develop.

Finally, don't be too hard on yourself. There's a difference between seeing a mistake and saying you're no good, blah blah blah and beating yourself up. Thomas Edison was known for the vast number of mistakes he made and why we know about him is because he learned from those mistakes and avoided them on successive attempts. I make mistakes all the time; for me, I sometimes get anxious and let the fear of making a mistake cause me to hesitate: there is a fine line between prudence (being careful) and being indecisive and missing an opportunity.

Give it time; you will learn from your experiences.

I hope this helps. I feel like we are on the edge of a spinning coin this week: our choices will determine if it falls to heads or tails. It is my sincere hope that the lurkers or whoever reads this will make a few choices that act as positive butterfly effects: God or the Force or whatever you call it knows we need to have some hope to get out of this tailspin of a sh*tshow we have endured so far this year.

One must remain very cautious when debating the current strain of Covid-19. As mentioned earlier by several top epidemiologists, the actual death rate is 80 to 100% lower than what we have witnessed in the Spring, and this trend is worldwide.

So, although we must remain vigilant, and we're certainly not out of the woods yet, there are some definite positive signs, for instance, as the virus spreads from host to host, with due time, it looses its strength. The key word here is: to remain cautiously optimistic.

The after effects of lockdown and economy is what is concerning.

I think that we must maintain a positive attitude CC, maintaining constant doom and gloom does not help.
