DT, I would not exactly call that treatment free -- there is a heavy price to pay for sitting in the Oval Office. I would not want to live in that fish bowl.

The treatment he received is still experimental. Because of the crazy liability laws in the US, no company will make it available until fully approved.

Thank God, we now have better treatment that we had last Spring. That is because of POTUS cutting the insane red tape to allow the R&D on these treatments.

POTUS also signed an EO last Spring where Medicaid covers the cost of COVID treatment for all uninsured Americans.

Remember the Earth's population was about 2 Billion in 1939, so to make the assumption that the virus will kill more people than WW2, the equivalent figure would be 240 million deaths due to CV-19...Not sure we will be at those numbers with a death rate of 1%.....Unless it takes a dramatic change of events.

I agree with you, winter is going to be brutal, especially in the northern latitudes.

That said, as a Libertarian, I feel people should make their own choice whether to wear a mask, distance, stay at home, etc. They should also deal with the consequences of their choices.
