As if 2020 was crazy enough, a woman swears she spotted a massive winged creature which charged at her while screaming a nightmarish noise before flying away.

The website 'The Singular Fortean Society' investigates paranormal and other strange instances and welcomes stories from who wish to share. This story, specifically, gave me chills.

It takes place in a parking lot near O'Hare International Airport where a USPS sorting facility employee was walking to her car between shifts after helping the transition from one shift to another. This is an important point because, in her words, she should have been the only person in that particular parking lot at the moment. However, she claims she was not alone. Why is it every dark parking lot makes you feel like you're about to the focal point in a horror film? This unidentified woman recounted her story with frightening detail.

She said she walking to her car just before midnight while looking at her phone. Out of her peripheral she noticed a tall man with a long coat in the distance. It was until she unlocked her car and the vehicle's headlights turning on that she noticed a little more detail. The person, in her words, was actually a large-winged "7-foot-tall" red-eyed creature.

This thing then started making some type of chirping sound, almost a half chirp and half click like someone was clicking their tongue but much much faster. It then made some type of screeching sound and took off running toward me, it got to within 10 feet of me and took off into the air and flew above me.

She goes on to explain she took of like a bat out of hell (no pun intended?) and hurried home to her husband, who also works at that USPS sorting facility. After she shared this incident with her husband he told her similar stories had been shared pertaining to what she "saw" and that exact parking lot. There's even a book written about the alleged "Lake Michigan Mothman."

Usually when terms or names repeat and regurgitate like this it’s signaling upcoming importance. There is a medical term MAC, regarding a bacterial infection. I wonder if there may be some application in the treatment of COVID-19.
