LY-CoV555, a monoclonal antibody, could become a useful treatment for emergency use in patients with recently diagnosed novel coronavirus (COVID-19) with mild to moderate cases, according to a paper published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

If they aren’t doing ekgs or doing a skin test for covid19.....not sure, prob a biopsy type which is why not done regularly.....

Not sure what would be easier. I just know that it is possible to test because I have seen several case studies now where they have down viral load skin tests because the normal swabs were coming back negative. But the patients were still having hospitalization needed symptoms.

Patient presented with a high temperature, rash and thickening of the skin on the palms and soles. Traditional PCR testing through nasal swab failed to show presence of SarS-nCov-2. A biopsy of rashed skin was taken and did detect a low of SarS-nCov-2. Six weeks later the patient tested positive for antibodies.

Only onee I could quickly find. Not sure if it applies but it would limit applicability to those with visible lesions on the skin where covid is suspected.

Does anyone know if this mink coronavirus is to be found in all kinds of mink, those roaming the streets and getting in the car isolation, too?
Or is it only to be found in specific minks in farms to produce fur coats for wealthy people?

All mink should be susceptible with sufficient exposure, as of current there are to my knowledge no reported cases of SarS-nCov-2 in wild animal populations. The studies I have seen from the Netherlands all describe human -> animal transmission with likely animal -> human transmission subsequent. These farms are excellent breeding grounds for mutations because of the high amount of animals in close proximity "sharing air". Expect mink coats to be in short short-supply for the foreseeable future. If you got one, you are a monster, but also potentially a future rich monster.

Meant as in applicable to what CC means, this seems very specific for patients that present with skin lesions as a result of covid.
