For a Tuesday those numbers are okay, keep in mind they work away weekend backlog on Monday and report those numbers on Tuesday. As I suspected Montana is burst reporting tests, yesterday they reported 14k+ today just 3.5k.

Over the past 7 days Montana reported 5196 new cases and 27278 new test so a positivity rate of 19% which is better then the 22% you were told earlier. Then again you also saw 8% of the total cases reported since march so that's a minor downside. No clear indication of exponential growth for now but at ~20% positivity it can be hard to tell how many "missed" cases there are.

US number are going to be ugly today and an absolute nightmare by Friday. Are any states/area under restrictions like we saw in spring or are they still just half asked.?

Yes my dad was covid positive and no my family didn't tell me until I talked to my aunt!!!

Feel free to vent. That is an extremely frustrating and heartbreaking event.

Just got back from the ER. I have "fluffy COVID lungs," whatever that means, and viral pneumonia, and pleurisy. Couldn't even get out of the shower this morning. My husband had to move me and dress me. The ER gave me a shot to reduce the swelling and some other shots and anything else they could think of that would hurt. While we were in the room, my husband got his test results back from last week--positive. So they did another test on me and we'll hear on Thursday, but given the state of my lungs, the ER doc said it was safe to assume I am also positive.

When I got up this morning I couldn't even put my own pants on. My husband had to do everything. He is real achy but nothing beyond that.

My pulse oxygen numbers were always good, even with all that, so I was allowed to come home with a whole bag of meds.

This is NOT just the flu.
