i explained long ago how many theories tie into the virus. it explained the incompetance by the world leaders including our own CDC. they didn't try to stop the spread but allowed it to happen.

there are many here ready to survive a long term lockdown but not much more. so yes warning of worse things to come is part of prepping. getting ppl to open eyes and think farther is also. we must prep our minds and emotions too.

long term survival of mankind will deopend on communities cutting them self off. isolating from outsiders. even the island nations have seen troubles. if the mammals all get infected and help the virus mutate,there really ain't much we can do. all the prep we know will just delay reality.

Yes we are totally prepared for this here. Out in the middle of nowhere. All we have to do is have some of our logging trucks drop a few loads on the roads and we good.

i think small self-sustaining communities can survive. course that depends on the mammal and mink issue.

isolate and then quarantine anything and everyone coming in for 30days minimum.trading amongst groups or commmunities can be done.set 2 sheds side by side and stock it with goods. then leave them for 30 days. 1 group arrives removes from 1 barn. takes a trust factor but is workable. could also designate a volunteer to watch the sheds from each community.they would need to go thru a 30 day Q period after.

to start,the ppl should self-isolate in their own houses now for 30 days at least. the issue with this is the cold. the virus can survive on objects longer. even a cold must b assumed as the virus and that person isolated immediately. to b safe,isolate contacts as well.

form a fortified zone. fenced preferably. but with hunters to shoot down any approaching deer, bears,etc. use planting to your advantage/ plant flowers that will repel animals both to keep some out and to keep many in.u will need them for food.

Bastetcat, no problem, not sure a doctor may agree with my take on how to use the machine. respiratory therapist would agree on the cupping with hand, they do this in the hospital.

but the therapist would freak out if they saw how I used the machine. I did test on myself first for safety. Many parents swore by it, and I verified.

I reciprocate the kind words, thoughts and prayers from Bastecat and Texan Buckeye. I tend to keep in mind, those whom are sick have the worse case scenario. if they are bearing the brunt of the force, I can handle the heavy lifting in all aspects. keeps the caregiver strong and alert, which is a necessity.

Welp. Cruise ship voyages have started up again... and so have the cruise ship outbreaks.

First cruise ship to resume cruising in the Caribbean "SeaDream 1", and AT LEAST 5 cases of Covid have been found aboard, but the full number has not been revealed yet. At least 1 person is considered to be 'sick'. All 53 Passengers, majority from US, & 66 crew have been confined to cabins. Cruise has been ended early and they want to dock the ship in Barbados but have not been given permission to do so yet.

The ship's doctor commented: “We all felt very safe, yet somehow, Covid appears to have got on board.”

Who in their right mind would get on one of those floating Petri dishes?

Yes, I'm concerned about the vaccine. It is a new technology that is untested, and we don't have time to test it properly if it is to be rolled out to the masses next year.

I'm glad someone seems to be making headway towards a vaccine that works, but I worry a lot about the possible long term effects. I don't plan to get it, unless I have no way around it. (Which may end up being the case.) I'm cautious about vaccines in general, since I had a very adverse reaction to one in the past, and my immune system is dysregulated.

People always look at this as say "aha see, false positive, obs its a hoax, bla bla lets all go out and rub ourselves on each other etc etc"

But this goes both ways. It could also have been false negatives.

Given what we have seen up to now, and especially when people are sick, I think the chances of it being a false negative are greater than a false positive.

Cos again, if people are sick, have nothing else wrong with them, but get a negative test, that still begs the question that is being ignored "whats wrong with them?"

But yeah, if tests are not accurate, it does make one wonder, but its not a matter of "data is wrong, there's no pandemic, back to normal" its "data is uncertain, there may be 10x less sick or 10x more, we just don't know, be extra careful"
