Well, my county (Alameda County) is pausing the reopening, and imposing new restrictions. We are being warned that we may be heading toward the red or dark purple tiers, if current trends continue.

All the "us vs. them" talk regarding spread is ridiculous, in my opinion. Any large gathering (political, social, or otherwise) is a potential superspreader event. It doesn't matter if it is a rally, a riot, a celebration, a protest, a sporting event ... COVID doesn't care one bit. Mask wearing helps some, and it helps more if everyone does it ... but COVID still spreads despite that. Small gatherings are risky too ... they just risk fewer people at a single time.

We're all doing as well as possible. Lots to do. Mil was VERY organized, but the minutiae is crazy. It looks like we'll get the funeral in before our Governor makes his decisions. We don't know how bad it'll be, but the restaurants are very nervous. They've been counting on Thanksgiving business. We'll see, I guess.

Everyone take care and I'll be around. The funeral is Monday and no one has mentioned limits of people yet, either.

Our n95 mask we had a few boxes and really just wear mine to the store maybe a hr. I take the mask and plastic bag it for 10 days. Wonder if these mask would last longer if we rotated it out in the same fashion

How rude I ask because when I bought mine was 20 for 38 bucks. Now they are 100

They seem to be of good quality material. I bought them in case I need them (e.g. going to be inside for extended period of time).

I tried it on when I got it. Soft silicone molding that fits snug. It was breatheable for me. I did not wear it for hours. Just a few mins.

I like that they are washable and the pricing for the extra filters seems reasonable given that disposable N95s are hard to find and expensive if you do find them.

Also, depending on the N95 you have you may be able “cook” them. 160 degrees for 1/2 hour.

The inventor of the N95 had that info. It has been taken down and they now point to another site. I’ll try and find it for you.
