I spoke with a friend of mine in a federal agency recently. He indicated there are just some unknowns that will remain unknowns until they deploy the vaccines on a national scale, and there might be some initial problems with efficacy across all virus strains, but the scientific progress that has been made over the past 10 months has been far more staggering than is generally known. And while we might not get back to "normal" this year or next, we will get back to "normal" sooner than most people think.

AV,i saw a diagram way back. it showed how a person in a far corner was much less likely to get infected in a meeting than ppl near the walkway between the door and the person speaking.the fans fix it so all are equal. nobody in the roomn is safe.

same issue applies to schools opening windows or the use of air filters. to me even in a restaraunt where the incfected person has left before u enter,that air is moving. so the air moves any virus and scatters it throughout the room. and very seldom do u enter any place with nobody in there.

SOS pointed out the effects on hair folicals. this moving air will pull virus off ppl and scater it also.

to me the air movement and filter idea was never goina work. it was grabbing at straws. research being done there shows me they know this virus is goina b with us for 5yrs+. the amount of $$ spent to reseach a failing idea and the $$ spent to refab buildings with higher volume fans and fancy filters will take years to recoup.

He was pretty honest with me about the variables, that this will not be a quick fix, and that things will get worse before they get better. But he went into some very specific details on the science behind the vaccines and why they are not as risky as I thought they were.

I still won't be first in line to get my shots, but I feel more confident that this pandemic might not last as long as I've been thinking it will and that the vaccines might eventually prove to be extremely beneficial to mankind beyond Covid.

I keep getting calls from the various VA clinics wanting me to come in for tests.

I tell them, "Call me in May, 2021 and let's see if the pandemic is under control". When I tell them how I am self-isolating on my farm, they are envious. When I tell them how we decontaminate anything delivered here, they are surprised.

I thank them for their service being at the VA hospital which has to be Virus Central Station with it floating in the air.

I now know 12 people who have had the virus, mostly young healthy folks.

However, one relative got detectable heart damage. That's all we know of for now.

My decision to self-isolate with The Queen looks more and more prudent. We don't really miss leaving the farm except we miss visiting family.

My concern for the winter is that I am downwind of Houston where many thousands will be coughing and breathing out viral particles. If the virus really can travel for miles, I could still get infected.

One thing that strikes me is that this thread has a bunch of well-informed, intelligent prepper types and they STILL get the virus.

I hope and pray that the vaccine efforts are successful. However, I will wait a couple of years before taking one just to make sure its safe.

Whats the point if schools are still open
