I'm preparing for another surge, mentally as well as practically -- but I am in basic agreement with what Riff Raff said. I think this virus is of human-tinkered origin, and it is likely to behave in some really strange ways.

I do think the changes in the way cases are reported is reflecting in the numbers. It was the WHO that issued the reminder about cycle thresholds, and it was a repeat of something they had said before -- so they didn't actually change the recommendations for PCR testing. They were reminding labs that running ridiculously high numbers of cycles would not give meaningful results.

I can't find anything about not counting asymptomatic people who test positive in the case numbers.... could someone post a link to that info?

And if I may state one more fact. The participants that have the American (or Canadian) flag under their user name are guilty of the above behavior.
I have yet to see an European approach this thread with this behavior. They either have a more civilized conversational approach or simply sit back and observe. My guess a lot of Europeans amongst this thread have a new profound outlook on Americans. And rightfully so. Keeping civilized with composure must be a European thing.

i told ya this before. there is a % of the population that will get tested. as u reach this #, cases will go down on paper because those ppl got tested. not everyone is running to b tested.

by the way there is also a % that will take the shot. and we should b hitting that soon. so expect # of vaccinated per day to slow down.

Tragic, I too have met thalidomide victims. One of the resons I worry about the speed of these vaccines and how well they are really tested and whether a lot of it is just for show.

I can't find your other post, but it's not tomorrow yet in Europe. They're only 6 hours ahead of us, for the most part. Eastern Europe is 7, I think that's where the switch is. SN is 6 hours ahead, so it's 7:30 pm for her.

Actually I have only seen admittance of “Glp knew” and most of those were stretched. Concerning the wrong predictions or projections have been skipped over and no admittance.
