If you haven't seen this film, at least watch the trailer. If you are snowbound, stormbound, try to watch it. Idk what apps it's on...I read the book because of Hilary Swank in "V is for Vendetta" said in an interview that was what she reading during the filming of that movie....it's kind of a tricky read, because they jump timelines, kind of like an arch within an arch. The film is more or less faithful to that format, which can be a bit confusing if you haven't read the book...regardless of your opinions of the personal lives of the actors, it is a powerful film...and it leaves you with a certain bittersweetness...I want to say balance--of love and sadness at the difficulty of life...anyway, be forewarned it isn't a fairy tale with "and they all lived happily ever after" but it's worth seeing, if for nothing else how the souls of the characters are interwined....

FWIW, I am glad to have made friends on here. The sliver of a silver lining of numerous black clouds and no real way to map it or organize the trails across the sky, at least not in our way of thinking or being.

I think we new this was coming but AZ vaccine confirmed as not so good against the 'Brazil' strain.

The papers are taking the negative as headlines, that is not what the GOV have asked for.

They get very angry when you prove them wrong, which is quite often.

Oxygen shortage.

Not like ‘oh crap the planet is running low’.

Medical grade oxygen. If that didn’t cause systemic collapse(s), then I’m not sure what would.

That's been my thought all along.

And again, it’s not so much the O2 as it the logistics of getting it where it needs to be.

If I may suggest to try to get an oxygen concentrator to add to your preps. They are available on ebay and I don't believe you need a prescription to get one from a private seller.

I saw some Amazon for under $400, not sure if you need a prescription, but something like this a mask with an air supply piped in could help. Better than nothing if STHF.
It's about $60. A friend of one of my colleagues swears by this to wear all day at her workplace.

Also a nebulizer could work in a pinch and deliver albuterol, so a double prep.

I need to order either the one above or this one--I was thinking about buying one of these for hubs...I am going to have to get him something, because once he gets the second jab he is not going to let the grass grow under his feet--but after this week he may think twice. He's been like on a seesaw---good one day and lousy the next and stressing me out...SN thanks for asking.

Wow Bastetcat! The smaller version seems more a purifier than a concentrator, but it’s a huge step to even the “cheaper” versions I quickly searched for on Amazon...starting around $520! That puts this prep in the durable goods category; may just have to save up

Concerning. So many things to think about...to prepare for...angles to systemic collapse. Glad for all your creativity and energy to keep shining lights into these areas! I still consider myself far ahead of the curve because of my time here...GRATEFUL.

I just thought of something else...local medical supply companies may have used equipment--wouldn't hurt to call a few...I don't use Craiglist--might find one--idk about FB marketplace or other online swap meets or whatever they are called...times like these I miss the yellow pages, google search just ain't the same, lol..

imo, concentrators are helpful because of the air pressure or force of air into the body helping blood flow to the brain...ventilators are a step further, in effect pushing more oxygen in and regulating it out...Idk, not a dr or nurse...

Maybe you could split the cost if you have family willing to...or older family members that you might be able to get the dr. to prescribe a machine and then perhaps Medicare, Medicaid or whatnot could pick up at least some of the cost. I keep hearing these commercials saying "I want to get what I am *entitled* to..."
