Just got a message from my Dr. Friend who is spearheading the cruise ship quarantine here in Japan in Yokohama. He has been there everyday 14-16 hours a day. He is Kanagawa's bio terrorism expert. I eat with him and his family often, I have done so over the last 4 years.

In all fairness, most experts are extremely PC. I’ve been following some on twitter for the past month or so and whenever someone suggests that it only hits Asians with the severe ARDS, they say that’s racist. If someone suggests it’s a bio weapon they attack him or her, question his credentials etc. I’ve seen them do it to a double Harvard PhD. I even DMd him on twitter and told him not to let the PC twitter thought police to dictate what he says.

My point is, we really don’t know how it affects non Asians. So far our medical systems aren’t overwhelmed so the few confirmed cases get lots of medical attention. It’s when healthcare systems buckle and supportive care is no longer possible that people get really sick.

It will be interesting to see if it’s Asian only or if Caucasians get hit hard too.

Yup China is the worst nation on the face of the earth and has been for a while. Look at who their two top surrogates are, the second and third worst countries in the world..NK and Pakistan. They gave both ballistic missile and nuclear weapons tech. So to me China is a rogue nation. They should be kicked out of the WTO, stripped of MFN status etc. We should put a blockade around it, no fly zone etc. The entire world will want to when this is done and I hope im around to see them put back into a box for the next 100 years.

One of them was in a group I was assigned to, and I made the mistake of going to his apartment to pick up some work he had done for the project. It was vile. Like a bunch of insects living in a hive. There was nowhere to walk, just wall to wall mattresses on the floor, no sheets on them. Sleeping chinamen everywhere. The vision of it still hasn’t left my mind 25 years later. It’s burned in.

I don't know about an incubation that long. I suppose it might be possible, but odds are they either remained infected after being sick, or it's everywhere and they picked it up from someone other than the one Wuhan resident.

Most people would get a significant dose of virus, and will show signs quickly.

If its true and people show no symptoms, and pass it on, and it can be airbourne and stay on surfaces for 9 days... and it has an RO like Los Alomos said, and really 20% of people who get really ill with it die
