UPDATE ON MY CO-WORKER -

He was finally able to return to work today. Fever broke so he believes he is not infectious.

He went to VA hospital last week, was treated as being infectious - Doctors/Nurses suited up with facemasks and gloves, led to a room with three doors, thought that the doors were pressurized.

They did a swab test in his nostril. Told him in 15 minutes that he tested positive for flu and negative for coronavirus.

Everyone is his family was sick but are mostly better now, so I'm hoping it really was just the flu.

He was sick for a solid ten days.

I honestly think it's the same virus that started here in the US in December. It wasn't a flu, but it was worse than a cold. Caused sore throat, headache, body aches, high fever, and a terrible cough and chest congestion that felt like drowning. It lasted 5 to 7 days. It's still going around and hitting communities hard enough to shut down schools.

In my opinion, it's the same virus. But the Chinese have a much harder time dealing with it because of lung damage due to pollution. Their air is awful.

It will be fine, you're just trying to scare people. What's the worst that could happen? It's not like they'll be getting the Wuhan 400. Next thing you know you'll be telling them to stay away from the buffets on board that have little kid snot all over it.
