I hear the train a comin' it's rollin' 'round the bend...

My fellow GLPers,

Before I roll into my usual report, I just want to take a moment to remind everyone that everyone reading this is the product of thousands of years of human determination and survival.

To be sitting here right now means that at some point, your ancestors made it through some of the darkest periods of human history. The DNA that courses through your veins has survived the Black Death, the collapse of countless civilizations, invasions by throat cutting barbaric tribes.

Now this is your moment in human history.

In the time that comes, I urge you to remember your humanity. Help one another- this isn't about your survival, but the survival of our species. Is it worth surviving if you lose your dignity and what it means to be human in the process?

Be ready to defend yourself from those who would do you harm, but also be ready to not only help yourselves but to help others in need.

Global Pandemic

China is in ruin- the extent of which will not be known until the dust settles.

South Korea and Italy are following soon. When people think of other countries having outbreaks, they don't think geographically. One country is not equal to another in terms of size. Italy is the size of a fraction of just one province in China in terms of size and population. Let that sink in for a moment.

Within the next two weeks, there will be widespread outbreaks in countries across Europe and the Middle East.

While it is true that a majority of people will survive the virus, economic collapse and civil unrest are a much bigger threat and will do more damage than the virus itself.

Having met world leaders in the past, I can tell you that they are all inept at best and crooked at worst. They are just figureheads that are pressured by the people who really run things- those with wealth and true power. Those people have a very dim view of people like you and me.

What I'm trying to say is don't expect some governmental organization to come save you from this. If anything, this crisis will attempt to be used to bring closer a very dystopian future.

What is unfolding is unlike anything human history has experienced in scale. Those times where something similar has happened in written history, the socioeconomic system was much better equipped to deal with it than it is now.

For a long time, the economy has been plastered over with a thin veneer to attempt to hide the cracks and all appeared to be well. This won't be possible any longer.

It is not possible to stop or control this virus. Even the best attempts at vector control will not suffice.

I personally made preps to attempt to give a fighting chance at staving it off because I'm not the type to roll over and give up, but realistically I know that the plan is plan to be infected and be ready to sustain myself, my family and my neighbors- those who are left standing.

I expect that this will continue to go on in waves and troughs for the next 18 months until all is said and done in regards to the outbreak.

In other considerations, society will not last as long before things begin to break down.

Most people cannot support themselves for more than 72 hours after the grocery store is bare.

Do not let this be you.

It will take 2 weeks of nonstop preps to even have enough to continue normal life for 3 months. Even that will probably be nowhere enough.

Honestly, for those who have never thought through something like this, it is already too late to prepare.

Remember, because of how slowly this virus simmers and insidiously lurks before revealing the extent of this damage, the reports that you see in the news are a several week delay of the true extent of the spread.

Don't panic, be ready. The panic is what will cause the worst damage.

Reject calls to globalism from unelected leaders when they come- they will come offering a solution but globalism is what has caused the dominos to start falling in the first place.
