I'm assuming you mean 91% or 99% alcohol because those are common formulations, but either way 97% alcohol is terrible for killing bacteria and viruses. It's too concentrated so the alcohol dries out the surface before penetrating and killing the pathogen. You need to be using 50-80% alcohol to get fast 30 second kill rates for the coronavirus. If alcohol percentage is too high and it can take hours to kill or never kill it. Too low and there isn't enough alcohol present to kill it either.

If you get in a bind, we know that bitter melon knocks down hyperglycemia. Be careful and gingerly take it if you can't get insulin. You dn't want to induce hypoglycemia.

Type 2 diabetics might easily cope with bitter melon. Follow directions. You can even easily grow it like you would a cucumber.

Looks like panic buying is setting in here in Malta. Girlfriend just got back from Lidl and said it was busiest she'd ever seen when she went in, she basically got the last bottled water (need that here - can't drink tap water), and half the shelves were already empty.
