P13315 I've been busy all day and only managed to catch up this evening. Managed 3 local shops, can't say I noticed anything unusual. Nobody batted an eye as I loaded many multiples of toiletries on the moving belt in one shop along with a pile of meds, or when I bought 20 jars of capers and 9 packs of olives in Sainsburys (2 separate shop trips there) All I seem to be doing lately is SHOPPING , I've never done so much freaking SHOPPING in my life. It's like shopping for Xmas but on steroids. Quoting: Miss Pixie My bath tub is piled high to twice the height of the bath with stuff to sort. I've got about 8 of today's bags dumped in the kitchen. I've got 4 black bin bags of dehydrated veg dumped on the bookshelf. I've got boxes in the hall. 2 of them are large shelving units to assemble. And more supplies to get ! And an office to empty and turn into a prep store ! I am so tired of SHOPPING ! Aaaaaaargh!  Edit : Forgot there are 6 cases of Starbucks on the landing and various other bags ! Survival is a lot of hard work! Personally, I am letting Amazon and my USPS driver handle a good portion of that for me. Yes,piles of stuff from there too. And heaps to add to the basket in tomorrow's shop. I'm having to stagger orders due to all the boxes involved Miss Pixie you seem well prepped but you should consider putting some stuff in a different location! say a gang of people turn up doing house to house raids ... Yeah you mentioned you have a crossbow but... And it's VERY possible this is a LONG term event so storing 2 weeks or 2 months of food is not enough! Yes, two months is a bare minimum but, as is the case in my own scenario, if and when this thing progresses, I will start taking on relatives at my home. I have enough food and water and other supplies to last me for a couple of years but when I factor in family members showing up, that same supply would only last months or weeks. Are we there yet?
