I had to go out. I went to JC Penney. Hardly anyone was at the mall. On the way back I passed by my CostCo and the parking lot was packed and a line of traffic backed up to get to the gas pumps. Parking lot was also packed. I didn’t see any spaces open.

I then drove past a Publix (Florida grocery store chain) and their parking lot was full. I needed to stop at Target for a few things. It was jumping as well. There were spaces available but the parking lot for this Target is pretty large for for the store.

The store was pretty busy. Lots of people on the grocery side. I checked the canned food aisle and noticed it looked really well stocked but then my eye caught on to look behind the front cans. Someone must have just fronted the aisle as it looked like there were lots of canned goods but it was only about 2 - 3 deep.

I moved on down the aisles and picked up what I needed. Some things were out, others were light. I made it to the soft drink and juice aisle. It wasn’t too bad. I then turned down the water aisle. Most of the water was gone. There were four large bottles left. I took them. Can’t have too much water right?

I then turned down the he TP and PT aisle. Not much TP left. Plenty of PT left. I then finished getting the rest of what I needed and decided to pick up some OTC meds. I got the last two bottles of generic excedrin extra strength. Much of the OTC slots were either empty or only one or two left.

I head on out and went to check out. I saw several carts in line with lots of water. I saw what looked like a couple with three cards, one with water, one with TP and other items, and one with over filled with regular groceries, mostly canned goods. I guess people are catching on.

But ultimately, there’s still stuff to be had but it’s starting to get thinned out and I think more are starting to prep now.

Well, considering that kids have very little regard for private space, hate washing their hands, shove everything in their mouths, and tend to sneeze and cough openly...I’d say they’re pretty extreme vectors...especially if they’re constantly exposed to public spaces and around others, like schools, churches, daycare, and shopping.

Just some new info that may have already been mentioned on here but maybe not.

Expect more cased to come out of CA specifically U.C. Davis campus in Sacramento.

Hearing AT LEAST two more confirmed (beyond the one released) and multiple exposed that and quarantined.

You can say uncle intel etc. reliable source. your choice to believe it or not.

Gotta take every moment now to enjoy the little things, the things we currently take for granted every day, and the innocence and lack of awareness of our children that the world may be crumbling around them.

I would assume the same as with any infectious disease. Children are far more communal than adults as a rule, and are in fact FORCED to be by society. Cramming them together in the sweatboxes formerly called schools virtually ensures that infectious diseases will spread.

Couple that with the fact that children by nature simply aren't as hygiene conscious as adults (generally speaking) and you have the perfect carriers Sure, offices can get crowded, but very few businesses enforce PE and extracurricular sports that nearly GUARANTEE that YOUR child will be sweated all over by someone else's child.

Nothing unusual, except that it's not your run-of-the-mill flu that's coming home for spring break this year, no matter what the nburg crowd say to assuage their fears...

I started slowly introducing changes, three weeks ago. Little man is ready for Monday.

We have plenty of stuff and I have enough schoolwork to last for a few years. I even rounded up a few more toys and games to slowly unleash.

Even if the virus avoids us, I didn’t want to face the second issue of supply chain disruptions effecting his childhood.
