If this is truly a deliberate attempt by one American political party to change the balance of political power in America, the virus will remain out of control through election day. Assuming Trump is removed from office, the new Democratic President will mystically wave his/her hands around, utter the magic words "hocus pocus," and put new people in charge at the CDC who will somehow discover a vaccine or cure before Christmas. The new President will be heralded as the savior of the country, thereby assuring mid-term elections will swing in his party's favor as well.

If they try to contain, they have chaos due to uprisings, if they don't contain, it's 10% lethality with also uprisings. So China thought they could make it to sink the West. However what they have underestimated is the stealthiness of their creation, still hiding in asymptomatic long term carriers and the fact that it is impossible that they will keep all their borders closed forever.
