Where have you heard of food shortage? there are only inconveninces due to the distance rule, which neans long queues at the supermarkets and food shops.
Everybody was worrying for the hospitals, it was wery hard, particularly for the doctors (more than 100 dead, but the large majority were family doctors, not hospital ones).
The victims among the nurses are possibly less than 50.
In reality they were only pushed to the limits, not overwhelmed - and it now a full week that every day the total number of COVID hospitalized and ICUS decreases, so that the burden on the heathcare system is lessened.

Good thing that the "secondary clusters" did not explode; that means that reopening now should be safer then expected.
The main difference is that now everybody is expecting troubles, and is prepared for them; so, possible new clusters due to reopening should be catched much faster and efficiently.

Patients’ condition prior to the treatment with PLX cells

Four of the patients also demonstrated failure of other organ systems, including cardiovascular and kidney failure, indicating critical disease and poor prognosis.
