I just want to know personally if I had it, and also to either confirm or disprove the idea that this has been around in the US since last year and/or tens of millions have already been infected. I would think some results should be surfacing pretty quickly.

Here is a news article from one of my local channels about the virus attacking the blood of a 63 year old man with no underlying health issues. He has already completed the hydroxychloroquine treatment, and now the family is hoping someone will donate plasma so they can try antibody treatments on the man.

Oh I agree completely. I was really sick in February after coming back from a huge conference in Texas. When I finally recovered I was in New Orleans early March for another conference. One of the participating hotels had several positive cases the next week from other conferences at the same time.

Personally I feel areas that are significantly undercounted and have much larger case counts than testing results are in the heavy hit areas in the US-- which represent geographically a small portion of the US. Everywhere else where the cases went up slowly I believe are more reflective of the actual numbers. Its been a month and if your sick you are getting tested now.

Produce at about 80%, meats at about 60%.

Limits on eggs and bread; both at about 50%.

Coffee getting low, at about 40% -- THIS IS SOME BAD SHIT!!!!!!!!

Some flour, some sugar -- at about 25%.

Milk and other dairy stocked.

Sparse TP, limit of 2. I scored last family pack of Cottonelle, and another 6 pack of store brand, both mega rolls.

Cleaning supplies at about 25%. Very low on dishwasher detergent.

Wine and beer at about 80%.

Thanks for checking up on me. Not so good today. Grey, dreary weather makes me moody. Been feeling gutachy and off most of the day, didn't even want to eat. Doing my best to stay afloat.

Glad to hear it. Seems about the same here in East Central Ohio. Not that I have seen it, my 34 y/o son insists on doing my shopping & I question him when he gets back. Not at all complaining, could be worse things to have than a caring son. :) But I do miss getting out & about!

I don't see any govt that handled this well. I don't know there is a good way to handle a global pandemic, sourced by a bio weapon.

In retrospect, the only way to stop this bug, would have been to turn China into glass early last December. Even then, chances are this thing was already seeded globally, and the above action would have only postponed the hell we are experiencing.

It seems pretty simple to see why Trump is so eager to reopen the economy. His business is in real estate and hotels. He must be hemorrhaging money right now. Trump knows that whenever his presidency ends, that is what he has to go back to, he doesn't want it to go bankrupt while he is in office.

True UK coronavirus death toll 'far higher' as new figures fuel fear London is being hit even harder

The number of deaths being reported daily from coronavirus significantly undercounted the true toll, new figures suggested today.

The Office for National Statistics said there were 6,235 deaths in England and Wales up to April 3 — 2,142 higher than the 4,093 declared at the time by the Government.
