June 22nd guy here. Just checking in. Not much to say, I think the steady drip is obvious now to anyone looking at this critically. I don't have any new dates to watch out for, we're past that now. Regardless of politics and what is being said to keep hope afloat, know that TPTB are planning now beyond 2024. Let that sink in for a minute. There will be no return to normalcy anytime soon. No miracle cure, no herd immunity anytime soon. Just the steady drip. And like Chinese Water Torture, this steady drip is going to take its toll on more than just our physical health. Mental health going forward is going to be more and more at risk. I also urge people to view contagion periods not in 14,27, or even 45 day windows. Way back when I said 90 days. There is no published data to support my claim I know, but I will state again, make your plans around 90 day windows, which is near impossible I know.

I can say this fall will be bad, but then so will the spring, and next fall and so on. It doesn't matter anymore. It is bad now and only going to get worse. The hope on high is that this thing just mutates into a less deadly wee beastie. But even with all the talk of various strains and mutations, it has so far proved to be a highly stable virus. Expect to be distracted, continuously by world events as the months roll by. Community mental health will demand it, but even with distraction, the steady drip will be there in the background.

I don't know how this ends. Perfectly assumed healthy people walking around right now with unknown organ damage completely oblivious to the war raging in their bodies. But it doesn't take a lot of math skills to understand that once we passed 100,000 cases a day, it doesn't take much time to get to 1,000,000 cases a day. And again, Watch what the militaries of the world are doing, not what is being said.

I had a pair of red foot tortoises as pets for over 35 years. They were so cool. I’d put them out on the deck in the summer and when they’d had enough they would open the sliding glass door by themselves and come back inside. Once a neighbor came over while I was sitting down and had my feet propped up on one and the tortoise started to walk away. The neighbor, who had trained pilots for the Vietnam Nam war, was so startled that he almost fell down backing up, lol. He said he thought that was just a foot rest.

The problem is that giving how well people are conforming to wearing masks right now, how will they in 3-4 months when flu season really kicks in? But we'll see. I'm not looking forward to it but I'll hope along with you.

CFR is a really bad indicator because of how many cases we missed at the start. Worldwide we are at 5.2%, Italy is still at 14,5% here in the Netherlands we are at 12,25% and even NYS is still running at 8%. CFR should end up at between 1-2% with IFR around .4-1%.

If they start more sensibly reporting data I'll add Mississippi to the daily reports. For a while they only reported negative tests every second or third day, makes it hard to track progress if the reporting is inconsistent.

And I hardly look at the absolute numbers myself, they tend to indicate how bad you did before. I find the % change in new cases and the % new tests positive (Was often 100% in MS) much more indicative of where things are going.

Just decided to quit smoking today and start healthier life.Instead of drinking those high sugar drinks I will drink water with lemons every day.Benefits of this are huge ,not to mention better immunity :) I know what was cause of my depression it was organic.My organism is so filled from toxins from drinking and smoking ,unhealthy lifestyle and eating :(

So to think that here in Italy someone falsifies the data or can hide the dead at the expense of family members: it is incredible also because the region most affected by the coronavirus is governed by the opposition to the national government and perhaps you do not know it but here the political alignments are in constant war and revealing a falsification of data would bring down regional governments or the national government and both the right and left sides are waiting for nothing else.

However, you still haven't answered what the situation is like in the United States: do people use masks? are there disinfectants at the entrance of shops, supermarkets and restaurants? Is the temperature measured?
