Don't they pull directly from that county's department of public health site? Like for my county, they pull the data from here:

I figured it was fairly legit. But I do appreciate all your number crunching and your hard work on this thread.

So a couple of things... been busy but it seems y'all have been doing a fine job holding down the fort.

First, my co-worker who triggered the COVID scare at may company has been self-isolating for a week and a half now. Turns out, he had been isolating in the same tiny apartment as his COVID-positive girlfriend... he had tested negative. He will be clear to come back to work on Friday...

Second, I started a job at a power plant this week at the same time as another crew which was tearing apart the turbine engine. Today they found out that they were exposed last week, so the whole crew left to get tested and quarantine with the engine that runs the power plant still dissasembled, with no word on what the plan is to get it back together.

I didn't really have contact with them, but used the same porta shitters... and had a bunch of contact with plant personnel that were in contact with them.

They sent all the guys at the plant to get tested, but it was only 1 day since exposure so that won't mean anything. I sure as fuck hope they do some follow up testing.

Management at the plant had no idea what the fuck to do. I gave them a bit of advice since my company just went through the same shit but they were still pretty blindsided and indecisive.

I'm hoping to finish the job tomorrow. If I can pull that off, I should be able to get the fuck out of there before the incubation period hits for anyone they infected. Well, unless they infected me that is.

Also, it seems while I was distracted with work the second wave hit in full force. I may have just watched it play out in real time at this plant.

Maybe you got insta-immunity after the WuFlu tour bus incident. Judging by what I’ve read you have about 3-4 months of potential immunity so the quicker you finish this job and get outta there the better!

Coumo had his mistakes, but he did effectively portray the urgency of the situation in NY when it happened there.

I'm not getting the sense that the same sense of urgency and despair is being properly communicated in certain states that are seeing a surge now.

I'll be cautious here, Dutchy, and not state categorically that Cuomo did, but I know that DeBlasio of NYC was advising people in the early days to ignore social distancing, to "go to the movies, go see a show" in direct opposition to what was already being suggested about self-isolation. My memory, which can be tricky at times, says Cuomo was beating the same drum at that time as well.
