I cooked up some of my hamburger meat with a creamy wild rice soup mix. Husband said it was good. Now the kitchen is clean, and I am having some wine. Cheers and enjoy your dinner!

It's hibernation time

I get worried at times. I don't get quoted often anymore. It feels like any discussion I engage in ends when I engage. That would imply that either:
A) People are ignoring my opinion -or-
B) I have the last word and what I say goes uncontested.

Both options are troublesome to me. It limits my ability to see different viewpoints and know what to focus future research on.

I went into the game Second Life, bought an island, gave it a giant water slide, added an orchard, threw in a few nukes, and am currently staring at the screen wondering what I'm going to do with the other 90 or so days left of summer.

Nah flu season past passed and Florida is still reporting record pneumonia deaths.

I’m not worried about you - I was talking about the AC’s wife who didn’t change them before shopping on her way home and po’d there isn’t some kind of rule on such things in these times.

I can’t tell you how many times I saw nurses and CNA’s, from the nursing home my mother was in, shopping at stores wearing the same scrubs they had worked all day in - not even lab coats covering them!

I have contemplated buying a tiny island once or twice in life, but the real estate market would genuinely have to crash head first off a cliff for me to do it this year.

This day is fucking epically weird!

Life is tough here in quarantine on the farm.

The Queen found some frozen crab cakes for my lunch in the back of the old freezer.

Dinner is a salad and melon from our garden.

Coffee! I drink about 12 cups per day. It was my FIRST item to prep. Don't wanna contemplate life without coffee. Ethiopian beans this week.

However, farming can be hazardous.

Was taking a new round bale to my cows out in the pasture with my tractor. A branch caught on the canopy and then snapped back hard into my face. Missed my eye by a few millimeters.

Would have been a trip to the ER and virus infection for sure if it hit the eye.

Speaking of cows, I gotta prepare to slaughter Wooly Bully. He is half Jersey and half something pretty big and aggressive. He is maturing and trying to mount cows. Still has horns and could easily kill me.

Gonna need the .44 Mag; his skull is pretty thick.

But first, gotta make room in the deep freezer, clean up my chop saw, and a reciprocating saw. They are my only options outside of a manual meat/bone saw.

Its going to be an all-day ordeal to get him in the freezer.

The other bulls I prepared were only a couple of hundred pounds each. I needed over 5 hours to get the meat, organs, and other parts wrapped and frozen. Very little waste.

I eat liver, heart, tongue, and all the bones for soup. The head, hide, lungs, and assorted organs I cook for the huskies. They did not leave anything but bone shards.

Watch that and you will understand why I really really really want to move!

Yeah, initial investment cost is through the roof and monthly costs to sustain essentials are equally insane. I somewhat wish there was a truly libertarian state somewhere but it's equally unfeasible to communism. The only attempts we've seen at communism have been authoritarian and led to millions of deaths.

Stocking issues at Amazon.... again.

Vitamins and laundry soap. I went to check my subscriptions... they get sent out at the beginning of the month and I wanted to make sure my budget was prepared.

Sigh. Gonna leave them there so I get max percentage off the others, but wow... it really is March again.

I will fine without them, but I am really glad that I got extra little man vitamins, last month.

Nuts. If you are prepping include them. Expensive but a long shelf-life and they are a nearly 1:1 replacement for meat.

For laundry soap stocking-up, try the commercial outlets.

I bought 6 five gallon buckets of restaurant dish soap. We will not run out for years.

Yes I am really upset, and may always be. Everyone, even my own doctor’s assistant, were laughing at me in the nursing station as I left, for what would turn out to be the the last time I would be allowed to see my mother alive, because I was wearing a mask and gloves. How can I ever get those moments out of my head?

I have peanut butter out the wazooooooooooo and beans. And canned meat for at least six months.

And I only take the b12 super from nature made. And I have enough for a year. So I will leave it... if it comes in they will ship it.

Oh and berry kix.... cereal is a good crunching snack and you get your vitamins. Oh and lucky charms.

Thanks for caring.... I freaked out back in April and got preps from six months to the year. Now I might be approaching two years... even coffee!!!! If I can get one more Walmart delivery, in July, I will feel like the princess of I ain’t fucking leaving the house.

I have enough for a year... I was just hoping to get my all free ... it lasts six months... for about $5. My budget likes that :)

When my friend does our July food pantry order, I will ask for laundry soap... our community is extremely generous.

Oh I loved being able to send stuff for her when she drops off the produce box... today I got to send ketchup and honey mustard dressing. I miss going to volunteer at the pantry. But small things!
