In general if you eat like a normal person (Junk food is not normal) you won't need supplements. As a person whom may or may nor have been a severe alcoholic and stopped eating for a week or two. B12 is your main worry when diverging from a standard diet. B12 is a key part of the protective barrier around your nerves, remove that and it's a target. Beyond that comes the fresh foods vitamins (C, D from sun). That is about where my knowledge ends.

Conclusion: Be a human, eat food. Fast food != food, vegetarians need to supplement to be healthy, eating animals is normal, us despite what you believe.

I eat... and eat. And eat. A decent diet... with chocolate and a daily treat. So yah there is some junk food in here...it’s minor compared to the real food we eat.

I did have to substitute a few normal things like a salad dressing that has hfcs, but we don’t use a ton on our salad. Or chocolate syrup with it... but again... that’s a treat ... once a week.

So when I normally say I am going to stuff my face... it’s with a old Wisconsin beef stick. Or crackers, cheese stick, and pepperoni.

Ooooooh. Celery and PB... must have.

Dutch/Solly, I think the most important questions right now to focus on are not the rate of spread or CFR.

The most important thing to discover is:

What are the long term effects of the virus?

Something has terrified the Chicom leadership. What do they know that we do not?

I suspect that the truth will come out mixed into a cloud of chaff. There will be kernels of truth along with misinformation, conspiracy theories, speculation, and propaganda.

I recall from over 30 years ago when we did multi variable bio studies. You can find unlikely correlations by inputting variables such age, sex, smoking, body mass index, race, which physician or hospital treated the patient, outcome, symptoms, or whatever. The algorithms that we used found correlations that no human mind could detect.

I remember learning about it, but I forgot how to DO it!

You start with an Excel file with as many good data points as you can dig up. Obviously, this will be difficult. If you don't have complete data sets, there are ways to deal with that. Or, you can just throw those cases out of your model.

In the case of Wuhan Virus, I think it is important to understand the actual long term effects. THAT is what could create an ELE.

I am not discounting the value of what you have been analyzing, just suggesting a new direction.

If you are concerned, let me simply a few things. This virus does things we've never seen before. It should be a respiratory (Airways, lungs) virus but it is comfy else where (Lining of blood vessels, lining of hearth, kidneys) I'll stop at what I know for sure.

So what can we deduct from that? We know it spreads mostly like a respiratory disease. That would equate it's spread to the flu or the cold. But we know the flu and cold have trouble spreading outside of winter, SarS-nCov-2 does not feel the same and seems limited in spread by weather conditions but still capable of producing linear growth (Linear growth - A daily increase of 5% about 5% or less).

Things aren't wierd, to be honest I am surprised it's not worse. Most of my research atm is trying to understand why it is not worse now, and hoping that numbers don't catch to my predictions.

Being "heavy set" is not unhealthy. There are much more complex vectors that point to potential risk that are hard to report on.

Just avoid junk food and eat a diverse diet and your odd will jump up. A lot of the talk about vitamins is pump and dump, if you understand that analogy over the long term. Eating healthy and diverse will not lead you to be being deficient in anything you need.

If your diet is changed by supply the main concern will be B12 which is hard to supplement. Consumers should not be able to get it.
